Qualified to throw the javelin at the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds for the second-straight season … Finished in 40th place overall at the NCAA East Prelims with a series-best mark of 188 feet, 4 inches … Scored one point for the Tigers with an eighth-place finish in the javelin at the SEC Outdoor Championships, throwing a 2011 seasonal-best mark of 203-5 during the competition … Opened the outdoor season with a 10th-place finish at the LSU Invitational with a mark of 172-11 … Followed by taking third place at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational (190-4) and 10th place in the college section at the Penn Relays (193-11) … Honored as a member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the third time in his collegiate career … Was also named an all-academic selection by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
