Competed in the pole vault in 12 meets during his freshman season … Recorded an indoor personal best of 15-7 at the LSU Indoor National Qualifier in March … Earned a runner-up finish in the event at the LSU Twilight Invitational with a clearance of 15-1 … Placed fifth at both the Purple Tiger Classic (15-1) and New Balance Collegiate Invitational (15-3) during the indoor season … Posted a seasonal best and new outdoor personal best mark of 15-9 at the LSU Alumni Gold … Took fourth in the event at the LSU Tiger Relays (15-1) and seventh at the LSU Tiger Classic (14-3 ¼) … Failed to record a height in the pole vault at both the SEC Indoor Championships and SEC Outdoor Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL
Enjoyed a stellar high school career at Vanderbilt Catholic High School under the tutelage of head coach Mark King … Was a three-time state champion in the pole vault … Earned all-state, all-region, all-district and Region MVP honors during his senior season … Led his team to regional championships in 2004 and 2005 … Was also a standout in the pool as he led his high school swim team to four state championships in Class 4A from 2002-05.
