The 12th-place finisher in the high jump at the SEC Championships during both the indoor and outdoor seasons … Cleared 6 feet, 8 1/4 inches to tie for 12th place in his conference debut at the SEC Indoor Championships … Later cleared the bar at 6-8 3/4 for 12th place in the high jump at the SEC Outdoor Championships … Won his first career high jump title with an indoor personal best of 6-9 3/4 in his collegiate debut at the Auburn Indoor Invitational … Jumped 6-9 at both the LSU Twilight for second place and Razorback Invitational for a tie for seventh place during the indoor season … Tied for ninth place at the Beach Invitational while setting an outdoor seasonal best of 6-10 3/4 … Placed third at LSU’s Battle on the Bayou with a leap of 6-7 1/2 … Tied for sixth place at the inaugural SEC Relays with a clearance of 6-9 … Also jumped 6-7 to tie for 10th place at the LSU Alumni Gold and 6-6 3/4 to tie for 11th place at the Mt. One of the leading high jumpers in the United States at the high school level during the 2015 season … Soared to a lifetime personal best of 7-2 to defend his Region 4-3A crown and establish himself as one of the top high jumpers in the country … Ended the 2015 outdoor season as the No. 2-ranked high jumper nationally at the high school level with his personal best of 7-2 … Followed his win at the regional meet by sweeping 3A South State and Class 3A state championships in the high jump to highlight his junior season in 2015 … Cleared 6-10 to defend his 3A South State title before defending his Mississippi Class 3A state championship with a clearance of 7-0 at the state meet … A four-time Mississippi state champion in the high jump during his prep career at Tylertown High School … Also won the Class 4A state title as a freshman in 2013 with a jump of 6-8 and the Class 3A state title as both a sophomore in 2014 with a mark of 6-10 and as a senior in 2016 with a mark of 6-8 … Also a three-time regional champion and three-time South State champion in the high jump during his prep career … Cleared a seasonal-best mark of 6-11 ¾ during the 2014 outdoor season to rank No. 21 nationally among all classifications in the event as a sophomore … Also ranked No. 2 nationally among the Class of 2016 during his sophomore season in 2014 … Winner of the high jump at the prestigious 2014 Sugar Bowl Track & Field Classic at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans with his winning jump of 6-6 … First appeared at the Mississippi Class 4A state meet as an eighth grader in 2012, finishing fourth overall … Also swept high jump bronze medals at the Region 4-4A and 4A South State meets as the third-place finisher as an eighth grader in 2012.
