Closed out her NAIA career taking three gold medals at the NAIA Outdoor Championships… won in long jump with a personal best of 6.35 meters (20’ 10”), triple jump with a personal best of 13.22 meters (43’ 4.5”) and the 4×100-meter relay with a time of 43.87 seconds… won four titles a the SSAC Outdoor Championships… clocked a personal-best time of 11.55 seconds to win the SSAC 100-meter title… swept the horizontal jump titles at the SSAC Championships with 6.03 meters (19’ 9.5”) in long jump and 12.32 meters (40’ 5”) in triple jump… helped her 4x100m relay to gold at the conference championship with their time of 45.37 seconds… took first in long jump and second in the 100m at the Southeastern Louisiana University Strawberry Relays… earned second in long jump and triple jump at the Bulldog Alumni Relays to open the outdoor season… NAIA Champion (LJ, TJ, 4×100)… USTFCCCA NAIA All-American (LJ, TJ, 4×100)… SSAC Champion (LJ, TJ, 100m, 4×100).
2024 INDOORS (SOPHOMORE AT WILLIAM CAREY UNIVERSITY)
Earned gold at the NAIA Indoor Championships in two events, taking the wins in long jump with 6.03 meters (19’ 9.5”) and triple jump with 12.62 meters (41’ 5”)… clocked a personal-best time of 7.41 seconds to finish fourth in the 60 meter at the NAIA Championships… SSAC Champion two times at the SSAC Indoor Championships, taking gold in long jump with 5.84 meters (19’ 2”) and triple jump with 12.64 meters (41’ 5.75”)… took first in long jump and triple jump at the Celebration Pointe Classic… clocked a personal-best time of 25.26 seconds in the 200 meter to finish third at the Samford Indoor Open… finished second in the 60 meter and long jump at the BSC Panther Indoor Icebreaker to open the season… USTFCCCA NAIA National Indoor Field Athlete of the Year… USTFCCCA NAIA South Region Indoor Field Athlete of the Year… NAIA Champion (LJ, TJ)… USTFCCCA NAIA All-American (LJ, TJ, 60m)… SSAC Champion (LJ, TJ).
2023 OUTDOORS (FRESHMAN AT WILLIAM CAREY UNIVERSITY)
Earned three gold medals at the NAIA Outdoor Championships; finished first in long jump with a distance of 5.90 meters (19’ 4.25”), first in triple jump with a mark of 12.52 meters (41’ 1”), first in the 4×100-meter relay with a team time of 45.07 seconds, and third in the 100 meter with a time of 11.71 seconds… crowned conference champion in the long jump and triple jump at the SSAC Outdoor Championships… also finished second in the 4×100 and third in the 100m at the SSAC Championships… opened the season taking fourth in triple jump at the Mississippi State Bulldog Relays… USTFCCCA NAIA National Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year… NAIA Champion (LJ, TJ, 4×100)… USTFCCCA NAIA All-American (LJ, TJ, 100m, 4×100)… SSAC Champion (LJ, TJ).
2023 INDOORS (FRESHMAN AT WILLIAM CAREY UNIVERSITY)
Closed out her freshman season taking gold in the long jump at the NAIA Indoor Championships with a leap of 6.14 meters (20’ 1.75”)… also earned fourth at the NAIA Championships in the triple jump with a distance of 12.26 meters (40’ 2.75”)… opened her collegiate career taking second in triple jump and fifth in long jump at the Commodore Challenge… finished first in the long jump and second in triple jump at the SSAC/Sun Indoor Conference Championships… earned fifth in triple jump at the USC Indoor Open… NAIA Champion (LJ)… USTFCCCA NAIA All-American (LJ, TJ)… SSAC Champion (LJ).
PRIOR TO COLLEGE – St. Jago & Hydel HS
A two-time Jamaican U20 National Champion and a World U20 Championship finalist in her final high-school season… won the Jamaica U20 long-jump title with leap of 5.97 meters (19’ 7”) and the triple jump title with 12.93 meters (42’ 5”)… held personal bests of 5.97m (LJ), 13.06m (TJ), 12.10 seconds (100m) and 24.55 seconds (200m) prior to college.

Born on February 8, 2003, in Kingston, Jamaica…. daughter of Tanisha Newberry and Damion Linton… has four siblings… plans to pursue a degree in business management with a concentration in international business at LSU.
