Colquhoun burst onto the scene at the SEC Indoor Championships where he broke the LSU 400-meter record, finishing second in a time of 46.29 … Helped the Tigers’ mile relay become one of the premier groups in the nation during the indoor season, anchoring them to the SEC Indoor title … Served notice in the quarter with a strong showing, running the first provisional time of his career, a 47.43ot … Finished fourth at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the quarter, clocking a PR time of 46.16 … The outdoor season started promising for Colquhoun, but and injury at the USC Invitational limited hampered him throughout the season … Came on late in the season to help the Tigers’ mile relay qualify for the NCAA field, but missed a majority of the outdoor season.
Freshman season (1999)
Started off strong during the indoor season, finishing fourth in the 400 at the LSU Purple Tiger with a time of 49.86 … Finished second in the 200 at the LSU Seven-Team Invitational the following week in a time of 22.10 … Ran his best 400 time of the indoor season at the Hokie Invitational on the banked-track of Virginia Tech, running a time of 47.61 … Finished fourth in his preliminary heat of the 400 at the SEC Indoor Championships, failing to qualify for the final … Saw limited action during the outdoor season due to injuries, starting the season off as the anchor of the Tigers’ 4×100 meter relay … Anchored the Tigers to victor in the short relay at theSEC Quadrangular in New Orleans in a time of 40.75 … Anchored the Tigers to their fastest time of the season in the 4×100, a 39.54 at the Texas Relays … Ran his fastest 400 time of the outdoor season in the preliminary rounds of the SEC Outdoor Championships, running 47.61.
