Threw the javelin in four outdoor meets during his freshman season at LSU … Ended his season with a personal best of 179 feet, 8 inches for ninth place at the SEC Relays … Threw 172-11 for 12th place in his collegiate debut at the Louisiana Classics … Followed by throwing 174-5 for seventh place at the Battle on the Bayou and 166-0 for 14th place at the LSU Alumni Gold.

Lettered twice as a member of the track and field team at Hahnville High School … Threw the javelin while also running the 400 meters and 4×400-meter relay during his high school career … Two-time district champion in the javelin as a prep in 2013 and 2014 … Helped lead his high school track and field team to two district championships … Also played football and baseball while at Hahnville High School … Helped his high school football team win the district championship in 2013 while also making four-straight state playoff appearances.
