Was the Lady Tigers’ top performer in both the shot put and discus … Qualified to the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships in both events … Scored for the Lady Tigers in the shot put and discus at the SEC Championships … Recorded her best throw of the season in the outdoor shot put at the Bulldog Invitational, launching the shot 51-7 3/4 to take home first place honors … Finished fourth at the Penn Relays with a throw of 51-2 1/4 … Top throw in the discus was a 168-0 effort to win the Tiger Relays … Recorded a distance of 167-7 at the Penn Relays … During the indoor season, won five straight shot put titles, taking home first-place finishes at the Purple Tiger (50-4 1/2), Razorback (49-1 1/2), Bayou Bengal (50-6), Armory (51-11) and Holiday Inn Team (50-3 1/4) Invitationals.

A two-sport athlete she lettered in both track and volleyball at Woodland High School … Named The Sacramento Bee’s 2001 Female Track and Field Athlete of the Year … Won San Joaquin section titles in both the shot put and discus that same year … Went on to finish third in the discus at the California state meet … Was an all-league selection in track during both her junior and senior seasons … Helped her team to four league championships … Named her team’s most valuable female track athlete in 2001 … Voted track’s most improved athlete in 1998 and 2000 … Was honored with the Coaches Award in 1999 … Posted PRs of 162-3 in the discus and 45-3 in the shot put as a prep … A three-time all-league selection in volleyball … She was voted the MVP of the volleyball team in 2000 … A member of the National Honor Society.
