Closed out the season taking 16th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a distance of 7.52 meters (24’ 8.25”) in long jump… took silver at the ACC Outdoor Championships in long jump with a season-best distance of 7.90 meters (25’ 11”)… earned bronze at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational and the Pepsi Florida Relays  in long jump… finished fourth at the LSU Invitational with a distance of 7.84 meters (25’ 8.75”)… USTFCCCA Second Team All-American (LJ).

2024 INDOOR (SOPHOMORE AT FLORIDA STATE)
Closed out the season finishing 13th at the NCAA Indoor Championships in long jump with a distance of 7.31 meters (23’ 11.75”)… earned bronze at the ACC Indoor Championships with a leap of 7.68 meters (25’ 2.5”)… finished second at the Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational with a distance of 7.90 meters (25’ 11”) in long jump… USTFCCCA Second Team All-American (LJ).

Placed third in long jump with a UK program-record jump of 8.13 meters (26’8.25″) at the NCAA Outdoor Championships… placed fifth in long jump at the SEC Outdoor Championships with a leap of 7.79 meters (25’6.75″)… placed second at the UCF Black & Godl Invitational with a leap of 7.76 meters (25’ 5.50”)… took a long jump win at Texas Relays with a leap of 7.97 meters (26’ 1.75”)… finished first a the Michael Johnson Invitational in long jump with 7.80 meters (25’ 0.75”)… USTFCCCA First Team All-American (LJ)… SEC Men’s Freshman of the Week 2x (03/21, 04/25)

Finished 11th at the SEC Indoor Championships with a distance of 7.58 meters (24’ 10.5”) in long jump… took 11th at the Tiger Paw Invite with a jump of 7.36 meters (24’ 1.75”) in long jump.

PRIOR TO COLLEGE – Calabar HS
An exciting-jumping prospect coming out of high school… finished sixth on long jump at the Jamaican National Championships in 2022 with a distance of 7.45 meters (24’ 5.25”)… took 13th at the World U20 Championships in 2021 in long jump… held personal bests of 10.51 seconds (100m), 7.82 meters (LJ) and 15.10 meters (TJ) in high school.

Born on September 12, 2002, in Kingston, Jamaica… son of Peta and Simon Gaye… has two siblings… plans to pursue a degree in sport management.
