Junior season (2001)
Qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the hammer for the third consecutive year after coming up with a season best effort of 207-2 … Finished 13th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships … Top mark came in the Tigers’ outdoor opener at the SEC Triangular at Bernie Moore Track Stadium … Finished fourth at the SEC Outdoor Championships with a thow of 199-8 … Was an NCAA provisional qualifier in the 35-lb. weight throw during the indoor season, coming up with a season-best toss of 62-11 1/2 at the LSU Twilight … Finished third in the weight throw at the SEC Indoor Championships with a mark of 61-6 3/4

Sophomore season (2000)
Continued to develop as one of the top hammer throwers in the SEC and NCAA during his sophomore season … Finished second at the SEC Outdoor Championships with a throw of 212-1 … His best throw of the outdoor season was a solid 216-3 at the LSU Alumni Gold Relays, just off his PR established during his freshman season … Just missed scoring for the Tigers at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, placing ninth with a throw of 208-9 … Also developed into a solid threat in the 35-lb. weight throw during the indoor season and finished second at the SEC Indoor Championships in the event with a throw of 62-3 3/4 … Came up with a huge PR in the event at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational at Lincoln, Neb., coming up with a throw of 64-7, a provisional qualifying mark that nearly got him into the NCAA Indoor field.

Freshman season (1999)
Became the Tigers’ first NCAA qualifier in the hammer in five years and grabbed the second spot on the all-time LSU hammer list in his first outing of the outdoor season, a 205-8 throw that won the title at the SEC Quadrangular … Finished fifth at the Texas Relays with a throw of 210-1 … Set PRs in each of his next two meets, placing fifth in a tough field at the UTEP Invitational with a toss of 213-2, then besting that a week later at the LSU Alumni Gold Relays with a throw of 216-5 that helped him finish second … Finished third at the SEC Outdoor Championships with a mark of 210-9, then picked up a win at the LSU Last Ditch with a solid 212-2 effort before heading to nationals … Finished 13th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Boise, Idaho with a throw of 207-4.

Prep career
One of the top hammer throwers to come out of Spain … Finished second in the hammer throw at the Spanish Junior Championships in 1996. Placed third at the Spanish Championships (Intermediate) in 1997 … Placed fourth at the Spanish Senior Championships in 1998 …Entered with a PR of 210-10.
