Just missed earning his first career All-SEC honor during the indoor season as he placed fourth in the heptathlon at the SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships in February … Posted a seasonal best as he scored a total of 4,859 points at the indoor conference meet … Also competed in the heptathlon at the LSU Combined Events in January … Finished runner-up in the event with 4,847 points … Individually, competed in the pole vault during the indoor season … Recorded a seasonal best clearance of 15-3 to finish in a tie for 13th at the SEC meet … Only competed in the decathlon once during the outdoor season … Finished sixth in the event at the LSU Combined Events with 5,282 points … Point total suffered as he did not record a height in the high jump … Was a standout in the classroom as he was one of 30 LSU track and field athletes named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll following the season.

Proved to be the Tigers’ top performer in the multi events throughout the 2005 season … Set a new school record in the heptathlon as he scored 5,077 points to finish sixth at the SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships … Took fourth place in the heptathlon at the Razorback Invitational one month earlier with 4,981 points … Also scored for the Tigers at the SEC Outdoor Championships by finishing seventh in the decathlon with a new personal best score of 6,365 points … Also placed seventh in the event at the Tiger Relays with 5,149 points.

2004
Competed in the decathlon twice during the outdoor season … Finished third at the LSU Alumni Gold, scoring 6,112 points … Tallied 5,980 points to place 11th at the Texas A&M Multis … During the indoor season, placed 10th in the heptathlon at the SEC Championships with 4,160 points.

HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered in track at St. Thomas High School … Coached by Santiago Santos and Nathan Labus … Broke the high school high jump record in 2003, clearing 6 feet, 6 inches … Ran on the 4×400-meter relay team that broke the state record in the event with a time of 3 minutes, 26.90 seconds … Was voted Most Improved in 2002 … Came to LSU with PRs of 6-6 in the high jump, 21-3 in the long jump, 14-3 in the pole vault, 14.6 in the high hurdles, 21.4 in the 200 meters, 51.3 in the 400 meters, 145-0 in the javelin and 5,200 points in the decathlon.
