A budding multi-event standout for the Tigers … Finished 11th in the decathlon at the SEC Outdoor Championships in May after scoring a personal best 5,554 points … Took fifth place in the event at the LSU Combined Events with a total of 5,528 points … Recorded personal bests in the decathlon 100 meters (11.60), long jump (21-6), shot put (36-0 ¼), high jump (6-1 ½), 400 meters (52.66), 110 hurdles (15.27), discus (100-3), pole vault (11-3 ¾), javelin (147-11) and 1,500 meters (5:15.28) … Competed in the heptathlon during the indoor season … Placed third at the LSU Combined Events with a point total of 4,455 … Was unable to finish the heptathlon competition at the SEC Indoor Championships after suffering an ankle injury during the long jump … Recorded personal bests in the heptathlon 60 meters (7.45), 60-meter hurdles (8.45), 1,000 meters (3:00.66), high jump (6-3 ½), long jump (21-8 ¾), pole vault (10-4) and shot put (36-2 ¾).

HIGH SCHOOL
Enjoyed a stellar high school career at Archbishop Rummel High School under the direction of head coach Andre Rome … Was a four-time letterwinner while competing in both the high jump and hurdles events … Comes to LSU with personal bests of 6 feet, 8 ¼ inches in the high jump and 14.1 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles … Was named both an all-district and all-metro selection during his high school career … Did not compete as a senior as he was forced to miss much of the season with a back injury.
