In just one season with the Tigers, made an immediate impact in the multi-events … Earned All-America honors in the heptathlon after finishing third at the NCAA Championships with a personal best and school record point total of 5,707 … Posted season-bests in six of the seven individual events at the national meet … Also won the LSU Combined Events during the indoor season, tallying 5,521 points … During the outdoor campaign, again qualified to the NCAA Championships in the decathlon … At the NCAA meet, was in fifth after the first day of competition, but was unable to finish the second day’s slate of events because dehydration and heat exhaustion … Earned All-SEC honors in the decathlon, placing second at the conference championships with a personal-best 7,640 points … Point total ranks as the seventh highest in school history.

Competed three years at Washington State University … An All-American in the decathlon, he finished fourth in the event at the 2003 NCAA Championships … Won the Pac-10 decathlon title … Comes to LSU with personal best point totals of 5,631 in the heptathlon and 7,021 in the decathlon.
