After having her first indoor season cut short, Lyston put on the greatest 60-meter season in LSU history and one of the best in collegiate history in 2024… crowned the USTFCCCA South Central Region Indoor Track Athlete of the Year after going undefeated across 60 meters during the season… clocked an LSU record, No. 1 time in the nation, No. 2 time in collegiate history, No. 5 time in the world and No. 5 time in indoor-Jamaican history of 7.03 seconds to win the NCAA Indoor Championship 60-meter title… helped the LSU 4×400-meter relay to an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Championships with a time of 3:31.05… earned two First Team All-American honors for her performance at the NCAA Championship… claimed the 60-meter title at the SEC Indoor Championships with a meet-record time of 7.08 seconds… tied what was the LSU record of 7.07 seconds held by Aleia Hobbs in her first 60m of the season to win at the Razorback Invitational, earned SEC Women’s Runner of the Week for the performance… opened the season with a win in the 4x400m relay and a time of 3:32.96 at the Corky Classic… finished first in the 60m with a time of 7.17 seconds at the LSU Twilight… clocked 23.16 seconds in her lone 200 meter of the season to finish seventh at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic… USTFCCCA South Central Region Indoor Track Athlete of the Year… NCAA 60-Meter Champion… SEC 60-Meter Champion… USTFCCCA First Team All-American (60m)… First Team All-SEC (60m)… SEC Women’s Runner of the Week (01/30).

Ran the third leg of the NCAA Outdoor Championship 4×100-meter relay team that took third at the meet with a time of 42.52 seconds that ranks fifth in LSU performance list history… also, placed 24th in the 200 at the NCAA Championships… helped the 4×100 team to a third-place finish at the NCAA East Preliminaries… qualified for the NCAA East Preliminaries in both the 200 and 4×100… was crowned an SEC Champion running the third leg of the 4×100 team, helping the team to a time of 42.92 seconds… set her collegiate PR of 23.05 seconds at the SEC Championships to take 11th in the prelims… took first in the 4×100 at the LSU Battle on the Bayou… opened the season up with a first-place finish in the 4×400-meter relay and second-place finish in the 4×100 at the Hurricane Invitational… helped the 4×100 team to a third-place finish at the LSU Invitational… USTFCCCA First Team All-American (4×100)… First Team All-SEC (4×100)… SEC 4×100 Champion… SEC Women’s Freshman of the Week (02/21)… LSWA Women’s Freshman of the Year.
2023 INDOOR (FRESHMAN)
Set her personal-best time of 7.29 seconds in the 60 meter to take first at the Tyson Invitational… placed second in the 60 at the LSU Twilight with a time of 7.30 seconds to earn SEC Freshman of the Week honors.
PRIOR TO LSU – Hydel HS
One of the top prospects to ever make their way to the collegiate track and field scene… coming out of high school, ranked third in the world among U20 sprinters in the 100m with a personal best of 11.14 seconds and second in the 200m at 22.53 seconds… crowned the 2022 World U20 Champion in the 200 meter, recording a time of 22.62 seconds… holds a 200 PR of 22.53 seconds (-2.2 m/s), which is the second best Jamaican time in U20 history… holds the U13 world record in the 200 of 23.72 seconds… ran 23.16 to win gold at the 49th Carifta Games at the National Stadium in Kingston.
