Opened his first season at LSU by placing fifth on one-meter with a score of 237.98 and fifth on three-meter with a score of 244.65… In a tri-team meet with FSU and Alabama, had two ninth-place finishes on three-meter (280.65) and one-meter (254.95)

FRESHMAN SEASON (2022-23 at Louisville)
Thomas qualified for the NCAAs in platform where he finished 45th with a score of 238.00… He made the NCAA cuts coming out of Zone C Championships where he finished 12th on platform with a score of 623.40… At Louisville’s Last Chance meet, he was second in the platform with a 255.55… During the dual meet season, he was fifth on 1M versus Cincinnati (286.13)… Against Kentucky, he won platform (338.40) and was second on 3M (302.18) and third on 1M (285.30)… At Missouri, he was seventh on 1M (212.70) and sixth on 3M (273.45)…  At the Purdue Invitational, he was fifth in platform with a 258.90 in the final… At Notre Dame, he was seventh on the 1M (241.05) and sixth on the 3M (288.38)… Against Tennessee, he was seventh in both the 1M and 3M (221.81 and 269.33)

Brings strong competition to the boards for the Tigers… As a member of Coral Springs Diving, Dowling competed at the 2022 USA Diving Zone B Championships where he placed 5th on the platform, 9th on the three-meter, and 12th on the one-meter… Finished third on platform at the 2022 USA Diving Junior Region 3 Championships… Representing Suncoast High School, he finished top-6 on the one-meter at three state championships and finished runner-up in 2021… His best score on the one-meter (11 dives) was 530.60

Native of West Palm Beach, Fla… Planned major coming to LSU for his sophomore season is chemistry… Has two siblings – one sister, Niamh, and one brother, Sean… His parent’s names are Sally and Brian… An interesting fact: he competed in gymnastics for 10 years and was a former member of the USA National Developmental Team… He chose LSU “because of the amazing coaches and support staff. I felt like LSU was the perfect place for me to improve as an athlete and as a person.”
