Summer Spradley Season 2024-25
SENIOR SEASON (2018-19)
Started off the season with a win in the 50-Yard Freestyle against Navy and UCONN with a time of 23.45 … On Day Two, took the silver in the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:03.50 … Touched the wall second in the 100-Yard Breaststroke against Florida with a time of 1:03.93 … Took the gold in the 100-Yard Breaststroke once again with a time of 1:02.64, this time against Tulane and Loyola … Won the 100-Yard Breaststroke against Incarnate Word and Delta State and then Houston and Rice with times of 1:03.11 and 1:02.69, respectively … Finished in fourth place in the ‘A’ Final of the 100-Yard Breaststroke at the 2019 SEC Championships with a time of 59.60 … Finished in eighth place in the 200-Yard Breaststroke after setting a new school record with a time of 2:10.03 … At the 2019 NCAA Championships, finished in 20th place in the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 59.77 … Swam the 200-Yard Breaststroke in 2:11.30 to finish in 43rd place.
JUNIOR SEASON (2017-18)
Won both the 100-yard freestyle and breaststroke against Loyola and Tulane to start the season … Finished third in the 50 free in a double-dual against Pittsburgh and Virginia … Picked up two more wins at SMU, winning the 100 and 200 breast … Notched three top-15 finishes at the Art Adamson Invitational with three new personal-best times … Reached the ‘A’ Final of the 50 free, finishing seventh with a time of 22.84 and climbing to eighth on the all-time list … Also made the ‘A’ Final of the 100 breast and finished eighth, touching the wall at 1:01.07, placing her 5th on the all-time list … Made the ‘B’ Final of the 100 free and ended 14th overall … Picked up another victory in the 100 breast at Georgia … finished second in the 200 breast in the final home meet of the season against Texas A&M … Won both the 100 and 200 breast in a quad meet against Houston, Rice, and Tulane … Finished off the season at the SEC Championships with a 15th place finish in the 100 breast … Also set a new personal-best in the 200 breast as she finished 24th and jumped to third on the all-time list with a time of 2:12.28 … Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2016-17)
Garnered back-to-back second place finishes in both the 100 breast and 100 free in the season opener against Vanderbilt … Also swam the first leg for the 400 free relay squad that took second against the Commodores … Swam the third leg for the 200 medley relay team that took first in the ‘B’ final of the 200 medley relay at the FGCU Classic … Also picked up a third place finish in the ‘B’ final of the 100 breast at the FGCU Classic … Finished third overall in the 100 breast against Auburn … Swam the third leg for the 200 free relay squad that took third overall at the Art Adamson Invite … Also picked up finishes of fifth in the ‘B’ finals of the 50 and 100 free and fifth overall in the 100 breast at Art Adamson … Swam the anchor for the 400 medley relay team that won against Tulane … Touched the wall third in the 100 free and second in the 100 breast against the Green Wave … Collected third place in the 100 breast and fourth in the 100 free against Alabama … Also swam the third leg for the 400 free relay squad that garnered first overall against the Crimson Tide … Against Texas A&M, anchored the 200 free relay team that took second place … Individually swam to finishes of seventh in the 100 free and fifth in the 100 breast against the Aggies … Anchored the 200 free, 400 free relay and 200 medley relay squads that took first, first and second overall , respectively in the quad meet against Houston, Rice and Tulane … Also touched the wall first in the 100 free and third in the 100 fly in the quad meet … At the SEC Championships, earned 29th overall in the 50 free and anchored both the 400 and 200 free relay teams that took fourth and fifth, respectively … Also took fourth in the ‘B’ final of the 100 breast to claim 12th overall in the event at SECs.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2015-16)
Finished first in the ‘C’ final of the 100 breast at SEC Championships with the sixth-fastest time in school history … Touched the wall fifth in the 100 free and sixth in the 100 breast against Texas A&M … In the 100 free against Missouri, she finished fourth … Touched the wall fourth in the ‘C’ final of the 100 breast at the Texas A&M Invite … Earned her first varsity letter.
PRIOR TO LSU
A six-time Speedo All-American… Set four school records at Granite Bay High School… A part of the 2014 section and league champion teams… A two-time CIF-Sac Joaquin Section finalist in the 100 free, and a three-time finalist in the 50 free.
PERSONAL
Born on September 5, 1997… Parents are Scott and Joanna Spradley… Has one brother, Tommy… Coached by John Sherman at Granite Bay High School and Scott Shea of the Sierra Marlins… Majoring in international trade and finance.
