SOPHOMORE SEASON (2023-24)
Opened his season in a tri-team meet with FSU & Alabama by placing seventh in the 1000-free with a time of 9:36.88 and eighth in the 500-free with a time of 4:37.72
FRESHMAN SEASON (2022-23)
In a dual meet versus South Carolina, placed third in both the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:25.15, and in the 500-yard freestyle with a readout of 4:30.38…was also a member of the 400-yard freestyle relay that claimed third place with a total time of 3:02.99. For a tri-meet with Denver and Air Force, won both the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:39.89, and the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:35.30…was a member of the second-place finishing 400-yard relay team with a total time of 3:04.74… Against Auburn, claimed second place in the 500-free with a time of 4:27.85 and fourth in the 1000-free with a time of 9:18.07… In the second consecutive SEC dual meet vs. Alabama, won the 500-free with a time of 4:26.19 and claimed second in the 1000-free with a time of 9:15.36… At the Tigers’ midseason meet, claimed fourth in the 500-free (4:22.05)… Against FSU, finished in second twice during the 1000-free (9:17.84) and 500-free (4:27.39)… In the regular season finale against Texas A&M, took fourth place in the 1000-free (9:27.38) and 500-free (4:32.91)… At the 2023 SEC Championships, placed 23rd in the 500-free (4:20.68 – Prelims: 4:20.65), 26th in the 1650-free (15:22.03) and 43rd in the 200-free (1:37.80)

Full name is Stuart Walden Higdon… Born on Aug. 6, 2003 in his hometown of Cairo, Ga… Planned major choice upon his arrival to LSU is Agribusiness… Parents names are Nat and Heather Higdon; has three siblings – Nathan, Hanson and Chapman… His brother Nathan is a collegiate swimmer at Lees McRae, and his fater, Nat, swam at LSU… Chose LSU “It felt the most like home and is somewhere where I saw myself being able to succeed in the next four years.”
