FRESHMAN SEASON (2024-25)
In the first meet of the season against Texas placed eighth in 200-breast (2:22.05), seventh in 200-IM (2:06.51), and sixth in 1000-free (10:04.62) … Took seventh in 100-breast (1:05.35) and fourth in 500-free (4:59.97) at the quad-meet against Navy, George Mason, and Loyola … In the tri-meet against Houston and Tulane notched eighth in 400-IM (4:23.78) and fifth in 1000-free (10:06.15) … Finished ninth against Alabama and FSU in 1000-free (10:13.35) … At midseasons took 33rd in 500-free (4:54.86), 21st in 200-breast (2:21.71), and 13th in 400-IM with a personal best (4:17.25) … Against Texas A&M placed seventh in 200-breast (2:21.33), seventh in 200-IM (2:08.46), and fourth in 1000-free (10:08.11) … In SEC Championships took 48th in 500-free with a personal best (4:51.54), 32nd in 1650-free with another personal best (16:43.73), and 35th in 400-IM (4:18.92)

HIGH SCHOOL
Attended the Wirtemberg-Gymnasium in her hometown of Waiblingen, Germany… Primarily competes in the breaststroke and individual medley events… She received an award for her achievement in swimming and academic success in physics

Full name is Saskia Victoria Blasius… Born on Oct. 15, 2005… When arriving on campus, her planned major is psychology… Her parents are Ruth & Thomas Blasius; she has one sister named Isabel, who is a twin… Chose LSU because “I really liked the swimming team and the campus, and I have the feeling that I can develop here athletically, academically, and personally.”
