Swam in every meet of the season including the SEC Championships for the first time in his career … Competed in four events at SEC’s, including the 200 and 500 freestyle, placing 24th (1:54.03) and 37th (4:45.47), respectively … Also participated in the 100 and 200 butterfly, finishing 25th (50.26) and 24th (1:54.03) … The time of 4:45.47 was a personal best and the third-fastest time in the event by any Tiger all season … Posted the third-fastest time of the season in the 1650 free in a dual meet versus Tennessee (10:13.30) … Earned second varsity letter.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2001-02)
Showed great consistency in his first season with the team by swimming in every regular-season meet … Participated in three different freestyle events as well as both butterfly events during the season … Had the team’s fourth-fastest time in the 500 freestyle during the season (4:48.81) at the SEC West Quad Meet … Also swam the Tigers’ fourth-fastest time in the 200 butterfly (1:56.84) in a dual-meet at Alabama, finishing fifth in the event … Earned his first varsity letter.
