Against Tennessee, had two 6th-place finishes in the 100-back (50.32) and 200-back (1:50.08)

FRESHMAN SEASON (2022-23)
In a dual meet against South Carolina, finished fourth in the 200-yard butterfly with a 1:53.69…claimed eighth place in the 200-yard backstroke with a 1:54.61…For a tri-meet against Denver and Air Force, finished fifth in the 100-yard backstroke with a readout of 51.76…was eighth in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:57.97… At the Art Adamson Invitational, placed 38th in the 200-IM (1:52.79), 23rd in the 100-back (50.03), and 22nd in the 200-back (1:50.85 – Prelims: 1:47.90)… Against FSU, claimed eighth in the 200-fly with a time of 1:55.08 and eighth in the 200-back with a time of 1:53.96… In the regular-season finale, took eighth place in the 200-back with a time of 1:54.00… At the 2023 SEC Championships, placed 48th in the 100-fly (48.91), 35th in the 100-back (49.17) and 34th in the 200-back (1:45.71)

Full name is Reese Dunbar Voelkel… Born December 27, 2002… The Sugarland, TX, native is currently undecided on his major at LSU… Parents names are Scott and Shannon; has one sister – Katie… Why LSU? “I chose LSU for the amazing school atmosphere, all the resources I could want and need for the classroom and the pool, and the new coaching staff that I believe can take this program to the next level.”
