In a dual meet against South Carolina, claimed sixth place in the 100-back with a time of 50.25 and seventh place in the 200-back with a time of 1:52.09… During a tri-team meet in Denver, touched the wall third in the 100-back with a time of 51.13 and fifth in the 100-free with a time of 46.59… Against Auburn, placed sixth in the 100-back with a time of 50.04 and seventh in the 200-back with a time of 1:52.04… In an SEC dual meet with Alabama, claimed sixth place in the 200-back with a time of 1:52.68 and seventh place in the 100-back with a time of 50.07
FRESHMAN SEASON
At the Rocky Mountain Invitational, he placed fourth in the 200-yard back with a time of 1:54.82… At Alabama, finished seventh in the 200-yard back with a time of 1:55.69 and eighth in the 100-yard back with a time of 50.71… At the Art Adamson Invitational, finished in 18th place for the 100-back with a time of 49.22 and 19th place in the 200-back with a time of 1:49.38; also placed 24th in the 100-free with a time of 45.33 and 29th in the 50-free with a time of 20.70… Against Texas A&M, placed fifth in the 100-back with a time of 50.34 and seventh in the 200-back with a time of 1:52.59… At the SEC Championships, finished in 52nd in the 50-free with a time of 20.51, 23rd in the 100-back with a time of 48.66 and 33rd in the 200-back with a time of 1:48.19

Full name is Nicholas Andrew Toepfer… Born on Oct. 22, 2002… His hometown is Braintree, MA., and attended Cardinal Spellman HS… His parents’ names are Kristen and Mark, and he has one sister named Abby… He chose LSU because “LSU felt like home to me on my official visit, and I felt that LSU would be the best place for me. I knew it would allow me to succeed both in and out of the pool in a place that I could call home.”
