Swept the springboard events with a 298.73 on the one-meter and a 301.50 on the three-meter at the first meet of the season against Grand Canyon… At the Rocky Mountain Invitational, won the one-meter springboard with a score of 312.40 and took second place in the three-meter with a score of 316.55… Against Alabama, took first place in the one-meter with a score of 293.63 and third in the three-meter with a score of 309.30… At the Texas Diving Invitational, finished in fifth place for the 10-meter platform event with a score of 275.35 and sixth place on the one-meter with a score of 294.30… Against Tulane, swept the springboard events with a 335.10 score on the three-meter and 309.75 on the one-meter… At the Auburn Diving Invitational, claimed a win on one-meter with a final score of 304.45 and placed seventh on three-meter with a final score of 265.00… At the meet against Texas A&M, had a fifth-place finish on one-meter with a final score of 276.68 and sixth place on three-meter with a final score of 288.53… At the SEC Championships, claimed sixth place on one-meter with a final score of 287.95, fifth place on three-meter with a score of 338.35 and fourth place on platform with a score of 275.70… At the Zone D diving regional in Wisconsin, she qualified for all three events at the NCAA Championships… On platform, she placed third with a total score of 608.80 (Prelims: 316.80); claimed ninth on three-meter with a total score of 648.60 (Prelims: 341.95); placed eighth on one-meter with a score of 594.00 (Prelims: 284.05)… At the NCAA Championships, she earned two NCAA All-American Honorable Mentions on one-meter and platform with a 13th place finish in the one-meter (297.15) consolation final and a 14th place finish on platform (257.80); claimed 29th place on three-meter with a score of 290.40

FRESHMAN SEASON (2020-21)
In her first career meet against Alabama, won the Three-Meter Springboard with a score of 334.65 and the One-Meter Springboard with a score of 324.60… Against Tulane, she won the One-Meter Springboard with a score of 319.95 and finished in second place on the Three-Meter Springboard with a score of 321.68… At the Auburn Diving Invite, she finished in second place on the Three-Meter Springboard with a score of 326.85, third on the One-Meter Springboard with a score of 288.10, and sixth on Platform with a score of 221.45… Against Texas A&M she finished third on the One-Meter Springboard with a score of 269.17 and sixth on the Three-Meter Springboard with a score of 254.93… At the 2021 SEC Championships, she finished in fourth place on Platform with a score of 273.80, 13th on the One-Meter Springboard with a score of 262.20, and 20th on the Three-Meter Springboard with a score of 252.30… Closed out the SEC Championships as the highest placing freshman of the meet after her fourth place finish on platform. At the 2021 NCAA Zone D Diving Regionals, finished in seventh place on both the One-Meter Springboard and Platform with scores of 571.40 and 534.10… Also finished in 10th place on the Three-Meter Springboard with a score of 629.65… At the 2021 NCAA Championships, was named NCAA Honorable Mention All-American after winning the Three-Meter Springboard Consolation Final with a score of 348.30… Also at the NCAA Championships, she finished in 17th place on the One-Meter Springboard with a score of 277.75.

PRIOR TO LSU
A very decorated International career foe Mexico… In 2014, won three gold medals at Nationals on Three-Meter and Platform… In 2015, was selected for the Pan American Games held in Cuba… Notched two bronze medals at Nationals on Three-Meter and Platform… Was selected to participate in the Budapest World Championships and Pan American Jr. in 2017… Earned a third place finish on Three-Meter in 2018 at Nationals… Took the top spot at Nationals in 2019 on Platform… In 2020, was selected to participate in World Cup Tokyo on Platform.

Full name is Montserrat Gutierrez Lavenant… Born on November 22, 2001… Parents are Carlos Gutierrez Fregoso and Veronica Maria Lavenant Jimenez… Has one brother, Maximiliano Gutierrez Lavenant… Chose LSU because, “The incredible facilities and the top-notch academics.
