JUNIOR SEASON (2003-04)
Competed at the SEC Championships for the third straight season … Was the Lady Tigers’ highest finisher in the 200 freestyle at SEC’s, placing 21st (1:50.62) … Time was the fastest by any LSU swimmer all season and the eighth-best mark in school history … Finished 24th in the 500 free finals at SEC’s with the second-fastest time all season (5:01.04), also a career high … Had the Lady Tigers’ fourth-best time in the 100 free all season (51.99) … Swam in three relays at SEC’s with her highest finish coming in the 800 free relay (7:24.29) … Time was good enough for fifth place … Won the 200 free with a time of 1:56.20 in a non-conference double-dual meet against Delta State and Southwest Missouri State on Oct. 25 … Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll and Dean’s List … Earned her third varsity letter.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2002-03)
Swam in every meet of the season for the second consecutive year … Continued her success at the SEC Championships finishing 23rd in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:51.61 … Posted the Lady Tigers’ top time in the 100 free, 51.46, also at the SEC Championships … Finished 20th in the 500 free at SEC’s with a mark of 5:01.34, the Lady Tigers’ second best time of the season in the event … Teamed with Donna Leslie, Laura Jo Leininger and Stephanie Smith to earn sixth place honors in the 800 free relay finals with a time of 7:28.52, LSU’s fastest time of the season … Captured a first place victory in the 100 free (53.29) in a non-conference meet versus Delta State and UL-Monroe … Named the “Most Improved Women’s Swimmer” at the annual swimming and diving banquet … Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll and LSU Director’s Cup for her team high 4.0 GPA … Earned her second varsity letter.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2001-02)
Consistent performer who saw action in every meet of the season … Competed at the SEC Championships and swam in three events, with her best finish coming in the 200 free as she tied for 25th place with a time of 1:53.64 … Had the Lady Tigers’ fourth-best time in the 100 free (52.25) and the 200 free (1:52.84) all season … Posted a season top-five time (5:08.57) in the 500 free at the Nike Cup Invitational … Placed third in the 200 free at the Texas Invitational with a time of 1:52.84 … Won the 100 free at the same meet with a time of 52.25 … Earned her first varsity letter.
PRIOR TO LSU
Named a 2000 U.S. Scholastic All-American … 2001 U.S. Navy Scholastic First-Team All American … High school state champion and record holder in both the 200 and 500 freestyle events … U.S.S. state champion in the 1000, 500 and 200 free competitions … U.S. Open qualifier in the 200 free and finished in fourth place at the sectional championships … Appeared in Sports Illustrated’s “Faces in the Crowd.”
