SOPHOMORE SEASON (2024-25)
In season opener against Texas took fifth in 100-breast (54.00), fifth in 200-breast (2:02.73), and seventh in 200-IM (1:54.46) … In quad-meet against Navy, George Mason, and Loyola placed seventh in 100-breast (56.75), ninth in 200-IM (1:55.88), and 10th in 200-breast (2:10.53) … In tri-meet against Alabama and Florida State finished second in 100-breast (52.89), second in 200-breast (1:56.74), and fourth in 200-IM (1:48.10) … At midseasons notched 16th in 100-breast (53.76), 11th in 200-breast wth a personal best (1:56.15), 15th in 200-IM (1:47.49), and set a personal best in prelims of 50-free (20.86) … Against Texas A&M placed second in 100-breast (53.59), third in 200-breast (1:57.13), and seventh in 200-IM (1:52.72) … At SEC Championships took 22nd in 100-breast with a personal best (52.59) and set a personal best in prelims of 50-breast (24.37).
FRESHMAN SEASON (2023-24)
Opened up his first season at LSU by placing sixth in the 100-breast with a time of 58.18, sixth in the 200-breast with a time of 2:08.48, and third in the 200-IM with a time of 1:53.84… In a tri-team meet with FSU and Alabama, placed eighth in the 100-breast with a time of 57.14, eighth in the 200-breast with a time of 2:07.78; also placed seventh in the 200-IM with a time of 1:53.22… At the 2023 Art Adamson Invitational, he placed 12th in the 400-IM (3:52.86), 10th in the 200-IM (1:46.40), and 17th in the 200-breast (1:59.68)… Against Texas A&M, placed 4th in the 100-breast (55.43) and 6th in the 200-IM (1:50.39)… At Tennessee, claimed 2nd in the 200-breast (2:01.64), 4th in the 100-breast (55.75), and 6th in the 200-IM (1:53.56)… At the 2024 SEC Championships, finished in 30th place in the 200-breast (1:59.59), 32nd place in the 400-IM (3:54.63), and 39th place in the 200-IM (1:48.48)
HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Bridgeland HS in Cypress, Texas… At the Texas 6A State Championship, he placed fourth in the 400-yard IM and fifth in the 100-yard freestyle… Holds seven school records at Bridgeland HS… He was named a Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (TISCA) All-American and qualified for the Summer Junior National Championship

Full name is Levi James Thome and was born on April 3, 2005, in Houston… Planned major heading into his first year at LSU is Coastal Environmental Science… Has one sister named Allie, and his parent’s names are Rodney and Tanya… An interesting fact: “I have 5 dogs”… His sister Allie currently swims for the University of Arkansas… He chose LSU because: “I loved the team’s chemistry on my visit. The team seemed very close and everyone was really nice. The campus was beautiful and the school spirit was like no other school.”
