Suffered through injury through most of the season, competing in six meets and the SEC Championships … Despite injury, was LSU’s second-highest placer in the 50 freestyle at SEC’s, finishing 27th with a personal-best mark of 24.06 … Was 42nd in the 100 free (53.43) and 37th in the 100 fly at SEC’s … Won the 50 free versus UL-Monroe in the spring opener on Jan. 17 (24.54) … Earned her first varsity letter.

PRIOR TO LSU
Louisiana state champion in the 50 and 100 freestyle and 200 medley relay and 200 free relay … Member of 2002 state champion St. Joseph’s Academy team coached by Nan Murtagh … Earned nine high school All-America honors during her high school career, four individual and five relay … Member of the Baton Rouge Advocate’s Star of Stars 2002-03 … Named St. Joseph’s Academy Most Outstanding Swimmer freshman, junior and senior seasons … Shattered six city records, including two individual and four relay … Currently holds the city record in the 50 free and 100 free.

Born May 12, 1985 in Lakeland Fla. … Parents are James and Jordan Moon … Has one older brother, Robbie, a former breaststroke and freestyle swimmer for the Tigers … Majoring in education.
