In season opener against Texas notched sixth in 100-free (45.03) and fourth in 200-free (1:37.61) … Against Navy, George Mason, and Loyola placed 11th in 50-free (21.46), tenth in 100-free (46.28), and fourth in 200-free (1:39.62) … In tri-meet against Alabama and Florida State took eighth in 100-free (45.31) and fifth in 200-free (1:36.82) … At midseasons finished 18th in 200-free (1:36.13) … Placed eighth in 100-free (45.66), third in 200-free (1:36.96), and seventh in 500-free (4:33.89) against Texas A&M … At SEC Championships set personal best in prelims of 100-free (44.37).
FRESHMAN SEASON (2023-24)
Opened his first season at LSU with his first meet at Utah and a third-place finish in the 200-free (1:40.19) and a fourth-place finish in the 500-free (4:38.78); also a member of the 400-free relay winning team that clocked a final time of 3:01.38… In a tri-team meet with FSU and Alabama, placed fifth in the 200-free with a time of 1:39.11 and 10th in the 100-free with a time of 46.24… At the 2023 Art Adamson Invitational, he placed 7th in the 100-free (44.88), 3rd in the 200-free (1:36.54), and 9th in the 500-free (4:20.80)… Against Texas A&M, finished 2nd in the 200-free (1:37.15) and 4th in the 500-free (4:28.11)… At Tennessee, had two 5th-place finishes in the 100-free (45.59) and 200-free (1:37.31)… At the 2024 SEC Championships, claimed 16th in the 200-free (1:35.98 – Prelims: 1:34.74), 28th in the 500-free (4:22.86), and 50th in the 100-free (44.78)… Competed in the NCAA meet as a member of the 800-yard free relay
HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at XI Gymnasium in Zagreb, Croatia… Placed 4th in the 400-free in Rome at the European Junior Swimming Championships
PERSONAL
Born on May 4, 2004 in Zagreb, Croatia… Planned major going into his first year at LSU is business analytics… Has two siblings – one named One and the other named Nika and his parent’s names are Dalibor and Andrijana… His father was a good water polo athlete who nearly made his country’s Olympic team… Chose LSU because “I like the swimming coaches, location, and weather. My friends also chose LSU and I see myself improving with LSU both academically and athletically.”
