Helped lead the program to back-to-back top five finishes at the SEC Championships … Captured a pair of silver medals at the SEC Championships in the 50 freestyle (21.92) and 100 freestyle (47.97) … Set the program record and gained an NCAA ‘A’ Cut in the splash and dash with her 50 free performance at SEC’s … Also placed sixth in the 100 butterfly with a season low 52.48 at the conference meet … Earned All-SEC Second Team Honors for her second place performances at SEC’s … Notched the fastest 200 free (1:44.97) mark for the program this season after leading off the 800 free relay at SEC’s … Part of the team’s top 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay and 200 medley relay … Besides the SEC Championships, competed in dual meets against Alabama and Texas A&M … Had her hand in 40 points with victories in the 100 free, 200 free, 200 medley relay and 400 free relay against Alabama … Set the LSU Natatorium record in the 100 free (49.18) and the 200 free (1:47.56) against the Crimson Tide … Scored victories in the 100 free (49.89), 200 free (1:47.88) and 100 fly (54.76) against Texas A&M … Earned her third varsity letter.

Selected for the 2011 US Pan-American Games Team … Competed in three Pan Am Games gold medal relays and posted three Pan Am Games records … Achieved record setting Pan Am Games Times in the 4×100-meter free (3:40.66), 4×200-meter free (8:01.18) and 4×100-meter medley (4:01.00) relays … Gained international trust as she anchored the 800 free relay and the 4×100 medley relay … Also earned a gold medal in the 100 free with a lifetime best of 54.75 … Registered the seventh fastest time in the 100 free by an American in the 2011 cycle … Her 100 free mark puts her in position to swim a top-six time at Olympic Trials, which would qualify her for the London Olympics …. Enjoyed a sensational breakout season, emerging as one of the top underclassman swimmers in the country and SEC … Earned her first career first-team All-America accolade, four honorable mention honors, four SEC medals and All-SEC Second Team recognition … Shattered two individual school records, moved into second all-time in two other events and was part of three LSU relay records … Finished the season with three times ranked in the top 10 in the country … Tied with teammate Jane Trepp for seventh in the 100 butterfly at the NCAA Championships, becoming the only two swimmers in school history to capture first-team All-America status in that event … Won the NCAA consolation final of the 100 freestyle (48.12) and claimed 11th in the 50 free (22.25) … Also helped the 200 free and 200 medley relays place 10th and receive honorable mention All-America recognition and anchored LSU’s record-breaking 400 medley relay (3:37.29) … Burst onto the scene at SEC’s with a pair of bronze finishes and two individual program records … Raced to third in the 100 free with a new LSU record of 47.90 and took third in the 100 butterfly with a 52.14 clocking, second in school history … Registered fourth in the 50 free (22.27) after qualifying for the ‘A’ final with the second-fastest mark all-time at LSU, 22.04 … Swam a blistering butterfly split of 22.87 on the team’s silver-medal 200 medley relay, fastest of the field, and threw down a 21.55 split on the second leg of the Lady Tigers’ bronze-medal 200 free relay … Also led off the team’s record-breaking 800 free relay (7:12.73) with a new school mark in the 200 free, 1:44.95 … Captured runner-up honors in the 50 free (23.16), 100 fly (54.50) and 100 free (49.63) at the Cougar Classic Invitational while taking fifth in the 200 free … Swept the 100 and 200 free in a road victory over Alabama and a home win over Florida State … Won the 50 free and 100 fly in a road win at Tulane … Touched the wall in first-place in the 200 free and notched second in the 100 free at nationally-ranked Auburn … Topped the field in the 100 free at the Florida Atlantic Invite and followed with a victory in the 50 free the next day at the Florida International Invite … Served as a team co-captain along with senior Shanna Spears … Recipient of the team’s Most Improved Swimmer and “Hammer” Awards at the programs’ annual banquet … Received her second varsity letter.

Proved to be LSU’s top freshman performer, earning a pair of All-America honors in relay competition … Competed in every dual meet, Houston’s Cougar Classic Fall Invitational, and the SEC and NCAA Championships … Helped the Lady Tigers capture All-America accolades in the 200 freestyle and 200 medley relays at NCAA’s … Swam the butterfly leg on the team’s 12th-place 200 medley squad (1:39.24) … Held the second leg of the women’s 200 free relay, which placed 12th with a 1:30.47 clocking … Also raced individually at NCAA’s in the 50, 100 and 200 free … Tallied points for the Lady Tigers in all three of her events at SEC’s … Won the consolation final of the 100 free with a personal best and the second-fastest mark in program annals, 49.51 … Recorded 12th in the 50 free (22.89) after qualifying for the ‘B’ final with a lifetime best of 22.80, third all-time at LSU … Claimed 13th in the 200 free with another personal best of 1:48.25, which is sixth in school history … Played a role on a pair of top-four relays at SEC’s, including the program’s record-breaking 800 free relay (7:14.54) … Emerged victorious in nine races during the dual-meet season … Finished on top in the 100 free against nationally-ranked Florida as well as Alabama, Florida State and Florida Atlantic … Registered first-place in both the 50 and 200 free versus nationally-ranked Auburn … Swam to victory in the 50 free on the road at both Alabama and Florida State and won the 100 fly against UNO … Also posted runner-up finishes in 11 races during the dual-meet season … Named the Lady Tigers’ Newcomer of the Year at the program’s annual banquet … Received her first varsity letter.

One of the top short-distance freestyle swimmers in the country who enjoyed a phenomenal high school career … A four-time Virginia state champion in the 50 freestyle and three-time state champ in the 100 free … Also a 17-time All-American … Shattered five state records during her high school career … A member of the Top 100 … Named The Washington Post’s 2009 Swimmer of the Year … Also earned first-team All-Metro honors from the newspaper in all four seasons… Holds lifetime bests of 23.32, 50.58 and 1:50.10 in the 50, 100 and 200 free, respectively … Also claims a personal best of 55.11 in the 100 butterfly … Coached by Peter Ward.
