Liam Gallagher enters his second year as the graduate assistant coach with the LSU swimming and diving programs and will work alongside head swimming coach Dave Geyer to train and develop the middle-distance, distance, butterfly and backstroke swimmers on both the men’s and women’s teams.

Prior to LSU, Gallagher served as a volunteer assistant for one season with the Princeton University men’s team in 2008-09, helping them win the Ivy League title and guiding six athletes to All-America honors.

An 11-time All-American and two-year captain from 2004-08 at the College of New Jersey, Gallagher also broke multiple school records and remains the program record-holder in the 200-yard individual medley. In addition, he was the recipient of the 2008 Team Captain of the Year award and qualified for the U.S. Open three times in his career as well as the Short-Course Senior National Championships.

Gallagher graduated with a degree in business administration and finance in May 2008. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in environmental science.
