2022 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2022)
Started in 24 of 31 game appearances at catcher … Finished season with a .143 average, six hits, nine runs, four RBI, two doubles and one home run in 42 appearances at the plate … One of three student-athletes with a 1.000 fielding percentage with a minimum of 75 chances … Recorded 105 putouts and 11 assists … Finished career as the program’s all-time leader with a .996 fielding percentage (minimum 250 chances).
FRESHMAN SEASON (2021)
Made 15 appearances and started in each game behind the plate … Tallied two hits in 16 at-bats with one home run … Drove in two runs and scored five runs while drawing eight walks … In 85 chances, she recorded 81 putouts and three assists … In the first game of a doubleheader against Texas on March 6, she went 1-for-2 with her lone round-tripper to left field which put the Tigers up by six … Converted all 14 fielding chances against Central Arkansas on Feb. 23.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2020) – Season was cut short due to the coronavirus
Saw action behind the plate in eight games for the Tigers … Finished the year with a .364 batting average, going 4-for-11 at the plate with five runs scored, a triple, three RBI and six total bases … Was the catcher for Maribeth Gorsuch in the first seven-inning game in program history … Finished the year with 64 putouts and one assist … Went 2-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and three runs scored against Florida A&M on Feb. 9 … Made her starting debut behind the plate on Feb. 8 against Florida A&M and went 2-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and three runs scored the next day on Feb. 9 against Florida A&M … Tallied two RBI in win over Campbell on March 6 where she came into pinch hit and recorded two RBI off a single.
HIGH SCHOOL
This catcher from Katy High School in Katy, Texas led her high school to three-straight district championships and was a regional finalist for three years in a row and in her senior year led her team to a State Championship title … In her senior season she hit .396 with 7 doubles, 2 triples, 2 homeruns, 29 RBI and 11 stolen bases … During her junior season she batted .402 accompanied by seven home runs … Is a part of 102 victories in her prep career at Katy, earning Second Team All-District honors her freshman year, collected First Team All-District Honors three years in a row and was selected as First Team All-State Tournament … Spent her travel ball career playing for the Texas Bombers under Coach Scott Smith where they placed second in the USA Elite Select World Fast Pitch Championship … She was also a three-time Academic All-State Honoree, Academic All District her senior year and was part of National Honor Society.
