SENIOR SEASON (2018)
In her senior campaign she posted a 19-7 record in 31 appearances and 25 starts … led the team with 191.0 innings pitched … held her opponents to a .179 batting average and had a team-best 1.17 earned run average … she racked up 143 strikeouts with six shutouts on the year and 18 complete games … at the plate she totaled 43 at-bats with nine hits and two home runs with six RBI on the year … she hit for a .209 batting average and had a .261 on-base percentage … on April 17th against Northwestern State she pitched 4.2 innings giving up no runs and only two hits, and in the bottom of the fourth inning she hit a grand-slam over the left field fence extending the Tigers lead … against Illinois State Walljasper entered the game to pitch hit for the Tigers in the bottom of the 10th inning where she hit a walk-off single winning the game for the tigers 1-0 … on February 22nd against Pacific she threw a gem in five innings of work and striking out a season-high 10 batters … she threw nine innings against BYU with no earned runs and nine strikeouts in a 2-1 victory … Walljasper gave a heroic and historic performance in her outing versus the Ole Miss Rebels on April 6th throwing an LSU and SEC record 19 innings and facing 68 batters, while throwing an incredible 237 pitches and giving up no earned runs with nine strikeouts earning her 11th victory of the year … due to her performance against Ole Miss she was awarded with SEC Pitcher of the week … was a Top 10 Senior CLASS Award Finalist … First-Team All SEC selection … honored as a NFCA All-South Region First-Team selection … was an NFCA All-American for the second time in her career.
JUNIOR SEASON (2017)
Led the Tiger’s in wins, ERA, appearances, starts, complete games, saves and innings pitched … Made 35 appearances, 26 of which were starts … In 165 innings pitched, she gave up 48 earned runs on her way to a 1.61 ERA … Compiled an 18-6 record on the mound … Earned two saves on the season … Amassed 101 total strikeouts … Compiled five or more strikeouts in six games … In starts or appearances of at least five innings she limited the opponent to three hits or fewer in seven games … Amassed three complete game one-hitters … Allowed no earned runs in nine of her starts … In a shutout victory against Georgia she went the distance allowing only two hits … Pitched a one-hitter against Mississippi State allowing one unearned run and earning the victory … Gave up only 83 hits and earned a 1.19 ERA while throwing 117.6 innings during the regular season … Pitched a complete game one-hit shutout against Tennessee striking out four … In a NCAA Super Regional elimination game versus Florida State, pitched a one-hit shutout to keep the season alive … Made offensive appearances in 27 games during the season … In 56 at bats she compiled a .250 batting average … Hit two home runs … Scored five runs during the season and compiled 13 RBI … Compiled three multi RBI games … Awarded pitcher of the year and named to the All-Louisiana Softball Team by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association … Named a NFCA Third Team All-American … NFCA Division I South Region First Team … All-SEC Second Team … SEC All-Tournament Team … Three time LWSA Player of the Week (03/07, 03/28, 04/25).
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2016)
In her second year at LSU appeared in 29 games, making 22 starts in the circle, leading the pitching staff in saves, while finishing second in ERA, wins, appearances, starts, complete games, shutouts, innings pitched, walks allowed and strikeouts… Was 11-6 on the year with a 1.78 ERA, allowing 47 runs, 35 earned on 128 hits in 138.0 innings pitched… Struck out 93 batters and issued just 27 walks on the season, posting five total shutouts… Finished 10th in the SEC in ERA, tied for eighth in saves, 13th in earned runs allowed, 11th in total runs allowed and tied for sixth in walks allowed… In SEC games was in the top 15 in ERA, total hits allowed, walks allowed and runs allowed… Finished in the top 50 individually nationally in ERA and walks allowed per seven innings… At the plate hit .222 on the year, appearing in 46 total games and starting 36 with 22 coming in the circle and 16 as the designated player… Had 18 total hits, most for LSU non-starters, with a double and three home runs… Had two multiple hit games, having a game with two hits and one with three… Had eight RBIs, earning a pair of two-RBI games on the season… Slugged .346 with a .315 on-base percentage, drawing nine walks, getting hit twice and scoring four times… Went on a career-long six-game hitting streak during the season, reaching base safely in eight consecutive games… Allowed an earned run or fewer in 20 appearances… Did not issue a walk in 12 appearances on the season allowing one just 11 times… Did not give up a walk in each of her first five appearances… Had eight strikeouts twice, with five or more strikeouts in six games… Earned first save on the season against UCF by striking out four and allowing just a hit in three innings… Struck out eight in a complete-game seven-inning shutout against South Alabama… Fanned eight and allowed just one earned run in an extra-inning win over Texas Tech… Pitched a team season-high nine innings against Florida in the second game of a doubleheader… Allowed just one run to Georgia while striking out four… Shut out Southern Miss with four strikeouts and two walks… Had seven strikeouts and allowed just one run on three hits in a complete-game effort against Northwestern State… Scattered just two hits and struck out two in a win over South Carolina in five innings… Earned her 10th victory of the year by pitching a shutout in 5.1 innings against Arizona State with four strikeouts to just three hits… Earned the win in the first game of the super regional by striking out five and shutting out James Madison, before turning around in game two right after and clinching the super regional with a save after allowing one hit in three innings… Earned third save by allowing two hits in two innings against Alabama in the Women’s College World Series… Came off of the bench to tally a pinch-hit two-run home run to help kick start an LSU rally in the series opener against Georgia… Earned her first multi-hit game of the year going 2-for-4 against Mississippi State with a run scored… Went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs against Arkansas… Had a walk-off solo home run to clinch the series against Washington… Hit third home run of the season against LIU Brooklyn in the NCAA tournament… Went 1-for-2 against Arizona State with a pair of sacrifice bunts.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2015)
In her inaugural campaign at LSU was named the SEC Freshman of the Week and the LSWA Pitcher of the Month for February… Was a finalist for the second NFCA DI National Freshman of the Year Award… Named second team NFCA All-South Region and LSWA All-Louisiana, while being a member of the record five All-American selections LSU had making the third team… Was named to both the Baton Rouge Regional and Super Regional teams… Appeared in 26 games in the circle for LSU, leading the team in fewest walks allowed (30), fewest earned runs allowed (34) and saves (1), while finishing second on the team in wins with 16, innings pitched with 130.1, earned run average at 1.83, complete games with 13 and strikeouts with 97… Finished 29th in the nation in ERA which was sixth in the conference, while finishing in the top 100 in hits allowed per seven innings at 6.07… Finished the season with seven, seven-inning complete game victories… Held opponents to a run or fewer nine times on the year… Did not walk a batter in nine appearances, with a walk or less in 17 games… Earned the best start for a true freshman in LSU history winning each of her first nine decisions, as it is the second best pitching start in team history… Had seven games with at least five strikeouts… Did not give up a run in each of her first three outings in the circle, tossing a shutout streak of 18 total innings… Struck out a season-best 10 batters against Cal State Fullerton in Palm Springs… Pitched a four-inning one-hitter against McNeese State and a seven-inning single-hit outing to Auburn… Pitched a pitching staff season high 10.1 innings against Nebraska in the regional… Averaged .188 at the plate with nine hits, seven RBIs and four runs scored… Two of her nine hits were for home runs… Earned her first collegiate hit going 1-for-3 against Memphis in the season opener… Hit her first home run of the year against NC State the next day… Earned her first multi-hit game of the year against Notre Dame going 2-for-3… Hit a grand slam in her only hit of the game against Cal State Fullerton.
HIGH SCHOOL
A standout three-sport athlete in California at Sierra High School where she played basketball, softball and volleyball… Under coach Nick Olmo on the diamond amassed 63 wins in the circle to go along with a 0.63 earned run average, 895 strikeouts and just 89 walks… At the plate hit .488 during her career with 18 home runs and 70 RBI… Was a four-time most valuable player of the Valley Oak League, three-time pitcher of the year, while being named the Modesto Bee Stainslaus District Softball Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons… Was a MaxPreps All-American, while also being selected as a Cal-Hi All-State selection… As a senior won 14 games with a 1.04 earned run average, striking out 229 with just 29 walks in 134 innings, while hitting .556 with six home runs and 21 RBI… Helped lead the team to the second Valley Oak League and sectional championship by striking out 227 in being named the Sac-Joaquin Pitcher of the Year as a junior as well as MVP honors… Led the Timberwolves to a second place sectional finish, fanning 226 to repeat pitcher of the year honors… Was named the MVP of the Sac-Joaquin section after helping SHS to its first VOL and sectional title as a freshman with 213 strikeouts in the circle.
