REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON (2013-14)
Emerged as a doubles contributor during his redshirt freshman season … Entered the doubles rankings in January with Tam Trinh at No. 46 after going 6-0 in tournament play… Competed in all tournaments and 27 of 28 dual matches for the Tigers … Clinched the match against No. 36 South Carolina with an 8-6 doubles victory on court 1 with Trinh over Chip Cox and Tsvetan Mihov … Went 11-8 in doubles with Trinh and 4-2 with partner Andrew Korinek … Competed in two dual matches as a singles player, and split those matches going 1-1 on court 6 … Clinched the match against Alcorn State with a 6-3, 6-3 singles victory on court 6 over Garry Singh Amor … Earned his first varsity letter.

Parents are Fernando and Beth Perez…Father played for LSU in the 1980s…Mother was a gymnast for LSU..Older brother also named Fernando Perez and older sister named Michelle Perez.
