JUNIOR SEASON (2023-24)
Trolio appeared in two tournaments for the Tigers…Trolio finished the Golfweek Collegiate Kickoff at T5th after shooting a 4-under 212 and a season-low round of 7-under 65…Finished the season with a 2-over 73.83 scoring average…Redshirted the spring semester.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2022-23)
Averaged 73.47 through 30 rounds and in 10 events… Finished 9 rounds of at least par or better… Trolio’s highest finish of the season was at the Louisiana Classics in March… Trolio finished T9 after carding a 220… Season low round of 67 came at the NCAA Norman Regional.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2021-22)
Second on the team in stroke average at 71.30 for 33 rounds … All-Freshman SEC team selection … PING Southeast All-Region team selection … Best finish was in the stroke play portion of the Southeastern Conference championship finishing T3 with a 4-under 206 (67-70-69) … Shot 67 four times during the season … Also finished T9 at the San Diego Classic (3/7-8) at 6-under 210 and at the Louisiana Classic (3/14-15) with 7-under 209 … Did shoot -4 212 to finish T17 in his NCAA debut at the Stockton Regional (70-70-72) … Sixth lowest season average in LSU men’s golf since 1982 … In the summer qualified for the 2022 United States Amateur.
PRIOR TO LSU
2021 U.S. Junior Amateur Runner Up … won 2021 Mississippi State Amateur with four round score of 19-under 269 … the win at Mississippi Amateur earned him an exemption into the PGA Tour’s Sanderson Farms Invitational in late September of 2021 … became the youngest player in the last 25 years to advance to the semifinals of the 2020 U.S. Amateur at only 17 years of age … earned the No. 57 seed after stroke play at Pinehurst and then rattled off four straight match play wins to make it to the semifinals … finished sixth at 2020 Jones Cup Invitational and 2020 Dustin Johnson World Junior Championships … led Oak Hill Academy (West Point, Miss.) to four straight state team titles including his first individual state title in 2019 … five-time all-state honoree in Mississippi … six-time Mississippi State Junior Champion … also played basketball in high school … Offensive MVP on the court for Oak Hill during his junior season … Honor Roll Student and member of the Junior Beta Club.
