Appeared in 27 games, starting 18 … Averaged 4.5 ppg, 5.9 rpg and 0.9 bpg in 23.1 mpg … Shot 57.1 percent from the floor … Registered three double-doubles, four games with at least 10 points and six games with 10 or more rebounds … Had a tremendous defensive day at Saint Joseph’s (1/19) with 11 rebounds, five blocks and two steals to go along with four points … At Rhode Island (1/22) had his first-ever double-digit scoring performance and double-double. Scored 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting while grabbing 11 rebounds for the second straight game and swatting three shots. FRESHMAN SEASON (2019-20 at Southern Miss)
Played in 11 games during the first semester as a freshman with the Golden Eagles … averaged 2.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game … set a season-best with eight points against William Carey (11/24).
PRIOR TO COLLEGE
A standout performer at Lakeshore High School, averaging 18.4 points, 12.5 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game as a senior … As a junior, Dean marks of 12.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game with sophomore totals of 10.0, 10.7 and 2.5, respectively … Dean finished his high school career with more than 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds … As a senior, LSWA’s Class 4A All-Louisiana honorable mention and the All-District 8-4A team where he was the district’s MVP.
