FRESHMAN SEASON (2024-25)
Appeared in all 32 games with 12 starts, all against SEC opposition during his first season … Averaged 4.8 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists in 18.2 minutes per game … Had four games in double figures, highlighted by 15 versus ULM (11/6) with four treys; and at Missouri, hitting three treys (1/7) … Also had 11 points against Florida (2/22) in 31 minutes with three treys … Six assists with just one turnover versus Stetson (12/17) and five assists, no turnovers versus UNO (12/22) … Four assists at Oklahoma (2/15) and against Florida (2/22) … Made 29 three-pointers.
PRIOR TO LSU
Played on the national championship team from Montverde Academy (Florida) that went undefeated at 33-0 this past year … Also No. 1 in the final ESPN High School Rankings … Won the Chipotle National Championship game, 79-63, over St. Paul VI (Virginia) … Givens in that game scored 24 points with three assists and no turnovers, hitting 6-of-9 three-pointers … Givens won the Unsung Hero Award for the boys’ basketball team at the school’s athletic honors night at the end of the season … Ranked four star and No. 39 in the ESPN Rankings and the No. 6 point guard in the 247sports.com ratings … In the summer of 2023 played for Mikan Elite in Missouri on the AAU and EYBL circuit, where he averaged 18.8 points a game … Invited to the NBPA Top 100 camp for top high school prospects … Played his freshman and sophomore seasons at Memphis University School.
