#20 Caleb Starks Season 2024-25

REDSHIRT JUNIOR SEASON (2019-20)
Walked on to the LSU team from LSU-Eunice … Redshirted during the 2019-20 season, but was able to practice with the team throughout the season. 

PRIOR TO LSU
Started his college career at Northwestern State for the 2017-18 season where he averaged 1.6 points and 1.1 rebounds in 27 games … Had three starts and averaged 9.5 minutes per game … Played the 2018-19 season at LSUE in the school’s first year of playing basketball, reuniting with his father, Byron Starks, who coached him in high school … Played in 26 games with 25 starts, averaging 13.1 points with 33 treys. Averaged 3.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game … Had 25 points against South Arkansas University Tech (1/5/19) … First team All-LCCAC … At Lafayette Christian Academy, team won the state Division IV state championship as a senior in 2016-17 … Second Team All-State selection as a senior with a 12.2 scoring average … Team made two state finals berths in his time at LCA … Three-year all-district selection.

PERSONAL
Born in Lafayette on July 13, 1999 … Right handed … Parents are Byron and Angel Starks … Two siblings … Father a top player at UL-Lafayette, leading team to two NCAA Tournaments (1992, 1994) and was inducted into the school’s athletics hall of fame … National Honor Society member in high school at LCA … Also ran track at LCA … Came to LSU to “compete at the highest collegiate level” …  Major at LSU is interdisciplinary studies … Likes to watch basketball to relax … Favorite food is sushi … Favorite NBA player is Lou Williams of the Los Angeles Clippers.
