Returned to play after minor knee surgery during his senior high school season … First freshman starter in opening game for LSU since Anthony Randolph at the start of the 2007-08 season … Scored in double figures in three games in late December and early January with a high of 11 vs. Washington State (12/22) … Averaged 3.2 points per game, 1.7 rebounds and 18.6 minutes per game … Played in 29 games and started 17.
PRIOR TO LSU
Transferred from Garfield High after his sophomore season and led Rainier to the Class 3A State Championship in 2008 for Coach Mike Bethea with a 24-1 record … Averaged 13.5 points per game as a junior … Suffered a crack in the patella tendon of his left knee early in his senior season forcing him to miss six games … Although he did return to play, he eventually shut his season down and had minor surgery to clean up the knee area in preparation for the 200-10 season at LSU … Had a great summer of 2008 playing in the camps and drawing the attention of several major programs.
