Ronrico White continues his association with Coach Matt McMahon entering his second season at LSU in 2023-24 as his Director of Player Development.

White will also add the title of on-court assistant coach beginning this season as the NCAA will allow two more on-court coaches.

White also serves McMahon and staff in projects with responsibility to monitor, improve and develop the skills of the players through video and assisting in training efforts.

White served the same role for two seasons (2019-21) at Murray State before being named an on-floor assistant coach for the 2021-22 season under Coach McMahon.

While at Murray State, White was part of two OVC championship teams in 2020 and 2022, including 31 overall wins and an 18-0 regular-season record in OVC games, as the Racers advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2021-22.

Prior to coming to Murray State, White served as assistant coach at Division III Emory & Henry College where the team was 22-7 in 2017-18, winning the conference tournament and for the first time ever earning a bid into the NCAA Tournament.

He then served a year as an assistant coach at Gardner-Webb (2018-19) where the Runnin’ Bulldogs won 23 games, also won the conference tournament. and appeared in the NCAA Tournament.

The Knoxville, Tennessee, native was a four-year letterman at Chattanooga, serving his last three seasons as the team captain. He finished his career (2011-15) as the school’s 14th all-time leading scorer with 1,100 points. He also ranked among Chattanooga’s top 10 in made three pointers, free throws and assists.

He graduated from Chattanooga in 2014 with a bachelor of arts degree in business and communications.

White comes from a basketball family as his father, Tony White, was an all-America selection at Tennessee and UPI’s selection as SEC Player of the Year in 1987. His brother, Tony Jr., was an all-conference point guard for the College of Charleston.

White was born in Belgium where his dad was playing professionally.
