The most productive tight end in school history with 90 receptions for 952 yards and 10 touchdowns … Holds the LSU tight end records for receptions (90), yards (952) and touchdowns (10) … A four-year starter at tight end for the Tigers … Played in 50 games with 35 starts … Earned second-team All-SEC as a true freshman in 2006 and then again as a junior in 2008 … Rated as one of the nation’s top tight ends going into his senior season in 2009.
SENIOR SEASON (2009)
Had senior season slowed by injuries throughout most of the year … Managed to play in 10 games, starting nine times … Caught 21 passes for 157 yards … Ranked third on the team in receptions (21) and fourth in yards (157) … Caught at least one pass in 10 of the 11 games in which he played … Missed two games (Alabama, Louisiana Tech) with an injury … Tied a career high with six catches for 44 yards in his final game in Tiger Stadium vs. Arkansas … Only game in which he didn’t catch a pass was Auburn contest … Caught three passes twice – vs. UL-Lafayette and Georgia.
JUNIOR SEASON (2008)
One of the most productive tight ends in the SEC in 2008 … Earned second-team All-SEC honors after catching 31 passes for 324 yards and five touchdowns … Started all 13 games at tight end … Ranked third on the team in receptions and yards and was second on the squad in TD catches … Capped season with four receptions for 50 yards and one TD in win over Georgia Tech in Chick-fil-A Bowl … Caught at least three passes in five games … Hauled in career-best six receptions for 36 yards and one score vs. Florida …. Added four catches for 43 yards and one TD vs. Mississippi State … Caught a TD pass in three straight games – vs. Mississippi State, Florida and South Carolina … Caught at least one pass in 12 of 13 games … Only game in which he didn’t have a reception came in blowout win over North Texas …
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2007)
Played in all 14 games with three starts at tight end for the Tigers … Starts came against Middle Tennessee, Louisiana Tech, and Ole Miss … Ranked fourth on the squad with 32 catches and 375 yards … His five receiving touchdowns tied for second on team … The 32 catches is the third-highest total ever recorded at LSU by a tight end, trailing on Malcolm Scott (34 catches in 1981) and Mitch Andrews (34 catches in 1985) … Capped spectacular sophomore season by catching a pair of TD passes in LSU’s win over Ohio State in the BCS National Championship Game … Finished game with four receptions for 44 yards … Pulled in a career-high five passes for a career-best 69 yards versus Arkansas … Caught four passes four times in 2007 – against South Carolina, Kentucky, Alabama, and Ohio State … Scored TDs against South Carolina, Kentucky, Louisiana Tech and Ohio State.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2006)
Named a honorable mention Freshman All-American by the Sporting News as well as a second-team All-SEC pick by the league’s coaches … Took over as the starter at tight end after Keith Zinger went down with a season-ending injury during the first month of the season … Excelled at the position, starting nine of the Tigers’ 13 games as a true freshman … Caught six passes for 96 yards … Had a career-high two catches in the Tigers’ win over Tennessee … Pulled in a career-long 55-yard pass against Mississippi State.
HIGH SCHOOL
