CAREER
One of the best blocking fullbacks to ever play for LSU … Played in 40 games during LSU career, starting 10 times … Originally signed with the Tigers as a linebacker before making the switch to the offensive side of the ball for the 2006 season … Drafted in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers … Rated as the third-best fullback in the 2009 NFL Draft … Graduated in December of 2008 with a degree in general studies.
SENIOR SEASON (2008)
Played in all 13 games for the Tigers, starting 10 times … Rushed for 28 yards and three TDs on 14 carries … Also caught two passes for 33 yards, including a 24-yarder vs. Arkansas … Carried the ball a career-high four times for seen yards vs. Alabama … Followed that game with three carries for seven yards and a pair of TDs in win over Troy … Had first TD of career in second week of season vs. North Texas on a 5-yard run … Caught a pass for a 9-yard gain in win over Georgia Tech in Chick-fil-A Bowl.
JUNIOR SEASON (2007)
Played in all 14 games with five starts … Did not record any rushing stats, but did catch three passes for 21 yards … Pulled in a pair of nine-yard passes, the first against South Carolina and the second in the SEC Championship game versus Tennessee … Added a three-yard reception against Ohio State in the BCS National Championship Game … Made an impact on special teams where he teamed with Mit Cole and Lazarius Livingston to form “the shield” on punts.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2006)
Played in 12 games, contributing primarily on special teams … Recorded three tackles in that capacity … Also rushed the ball twice for six yards.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON (2005)
Played in one game, seeing action in LSU’s win over Mississippi State … Recorded one assisted tackle in the win over the Bulldogs.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2004)
Redshirted as a true freshman in 2004.
HIGH SCHOOL
One of the state’s top linebacker prospects … Saw action on both sides of the ball, including fullback and linebacker … Helped lead West St. John to a 14-1 overall record and the 2A state championship in 2003 … Member of the Baton Rouge Advocate Super Dozen as well as being selected to the New Orleans Times-Picayune’s Top 20 Blue-Chip list … Earned all-district honors in 2002 after making 122 tackles … Rushed for over 800 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior … Teammates with current Tiger Tyson Jackson … Coached by Laury Dupont.
