Spent two seasons with the Tigers before being dismissed from team in April of 2007 … Came to LSU as a tight end but switched to the offensive line during spring practice in 2007 … Never played a down for the Tigers.

HIGH SCHOOL
One of the top tight end prospects in the state of Texas … Ranked as the nation’s No. 11 tight end by Collegefootballnews.com and No. 15 by ESPN … Member of the Houston Chronicle Top 100 for the state of Texas … Caught 16 passes for 398 yards and four touchdowns as a senior in a tough Texas 5A District … Played in a run-oriented offensive scheme … Had knee surgery following his junior season after suffering an MCL injury … Suffered the injury during the middle of the season but showed his competitiveness, returning for the 2003 5A state championship game … In seven games as a junior, caught 20 passes for 260 yards and 7 touchdowns … Coached by Mark Schmidt.

Born Sept. 25, 1986 … Majoring in general studies … Nicknamed Burt Reynolds for his likeness of the movie star … Joined his dad in running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, when he was 16 years old … Called it the most unbelievable experience of his life.
