An All-American and a three-time All-SEC selection, Kevin Faulk finished his career as LSU’s all-time leading rusher while breaking a plethora of other LSU and SEC marks … Held 17 LSU and SEC records … Rushed for 4,557 yards and 46 touchdowns in his career … Finished fourth in NCAA history and first in SEC history with 6,833 all-purpose yards … SEC record was previously held by Georgia legend Hershel Walker … Had 53 total touchdowns … Spurned an opportunity to enter the NFL Draft after his junior season to stay on for his senior year … Earned his degree in kinesiology in just three and a half years … Rushed for more than 100 yards in 22 games during his career and the Tigers were 18-4 in those games … Rushed for more than 200 yards four times, including a school record 246 vs. Houston in 1996 … Was the leading rusher in the SEC in each of his junior and senior seasons and became only the sixth player in SEC history to lead the league in rushing twice during a career … Was a First-Team All-American as an all-purpose player his sophomore season of 1996 … The SEC Freshman Offensive Player of the Year in 1995 and the Independence Bowl Offensive MVP that year … Played in 1999 Senior Bowl.

SENIOR SEASON (1998)
One of the top all-purpose players in the country, he finished ranked No. 3 in the NCAA in all-purpose yardage with 191.7 yards per game … Became LSU’s all-time leading rusher in the Mississippi State game, surpassing Dalton Hilliard’s record of 4,050 yards … Led the SEC in rushing for the second straight year, averaging 116.3 yards per game … Rushed 229 times for 1,279 yards and 12 touchdowns … Finished No. 2 in the SEC in punt returns … Tied for first in the SEC in scoring … Rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown on 31 carries against Notre Dame … Also returned a kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown, which was the first of his career … Named SEC Player of the Week vs. Mississippi State after rushing for 123 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries … Became the SEC’s all-time leader in all-purpose yards against Florida … Had a string of six consecutive regular season games in which he eclipsed the 100-yard mark in rushing snapped against Auburn.

Named an AP Third-Team All-American as an all-purpose player … A consensus All-SEC choice at tailback by the SEC Coaches, AP and The Football News … Started eight games at tailback and played in nine during the season … Finished the season ranked No. 1 in the SEC in rushing and No. 7 in the NCAA … Was also No. 1 in the SEC in scoring and all-purpose yardage … Finished No. 3 in the NCAA in all-purpose yardage … Rushed for more than 100 yards six times in 1997 (212 at Kentucky, 172 at Ole Miss, 168 at Alabama, 135 at Vanderbilt, 105 vs. Notre Dame, 138 vs. Arkansas) … Rushed for 1,114 yards on 205 carries and 15 touchdowns on the season … Rushed for more than 1,000 yards for the second year in a row, becoming the first Tiger to accomplish the feat in Dalton Hilliard in 1984 and 1985 … His average of 127.1 yards per game and 15 rushing touchdowns were both the second best in school history … Exploded for 212 yards and a school record five rushing touchdowns in win at Kentucky … Became only the second Tiger to score five touchdowns in a game (the other was Carlos Carson catching five touchdown passes against Rice in 1977) … Was the Tigers’ leading rusher in win over top-ranked Florida, gaining 78 yards on 22 carries.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (1996)
Named a First-Team All-American as an all-purpose player as chosen by the Associated Press … Consensus First-Team All-SEC at tailback … Emerged as one of the top running backs in the country in 1996 … Was a semifinalist for the Football News Offensive Player of the Year … Recipient of the 1996 Charles McClendon Award as the team’s MVP … His 1,282 yards was the second best rushing season in LSU history … Was the second leading rusher in the SEC at 116.5 yards per game … Finished the season No. 1 in the SEC and No. 4 in the nation in all-purpose yardage … Finished the season ranked seventh on the school’s all-time rushing list … Had seven games of 100 yards or more with 11 in his career … Was twice named SEC Offensive Player of the Week in 1996 (vs. Houston and at Arkansas) … Broke the LSU single game rushing record by running for 246 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries in the Tigers’ season opening win vs. Houston … Returned a punt 78 yards for a touchdown and ended the game with 376 all-purpose yards, which is the most ever for an LSU player and second in SEC history … Rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown on 32 carries against Arkansas … Led the team in rushing in LSU’s Peach Bowl win over Clemson with 64 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries … Started all but one game; did not start Alabama game after he was shaken up on opening kickoff return.

Was one of the most exciting and productive freshmen in the nation in 1995 … Named the Freshman Offensive Player of the Year in the SEC by the Knoxville News-Sentinel … Led team with 852 yards rushing on 174 carries with six touchdowns … Caught the nation’s attention with his Independence Bowl performance, rushing for 234 yards on 25 carries with two touchdowns in the LSU win … It marked the most rushing yards in an LSU bowl game in school history and was the second most in any LSU game ever played … Earned bowl game MVP honors for his play … Played in 10 games and started seven at tailback … True freshman whose first start as a Tiger came in the second game of the season against Mississippi State, gaining 171 yards on 23 carries and two touchdowns … Had four games of 100 yards (171 at Mississippi State, 160 vs. North Texas, 159 vs. Ole Miss, 234 vs. Michigan State in bowl game) … Was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week for his play against Ole Miss, making him the first freshman to receive that honor since Florida’s Danny Wuerffel in 1993.
