Enters senior season healthy after being slowed for most of 2003 with a groin injury … Adds to LSU’s depth at tight end … Good blocker who also gives the quarterback a big target in the passing game … Strong player with good hands.
JUNIOR SEASON (2003)
Player who was slowed by a groin injury for the last half of the season … Originally suffered the injury in practice prior to the Auburn game … Sat out the next four games before returning to action against Arkansas … Aggravated the injury against the Razorbacks and missed the SEC title game as well as the Sugar Bowl … In all, played in eight games with two starts … Started against Louisiana-Monroe and Western Illinois … Caught two passes for 24 yards … Had a 15-yard reception vs. Louisiana-Monroe and a 9-yard catch vs. Florida.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2002)
Played in 10 games at tight end with starts against The Citadel and Miami (Ohio) … Caught two passes for 11 yards, including his first career touchdown reception on a six-yard pass from Matt Mauck in the third quarter against Miami (Ohio) … His other catch came earlier in that same game … Also played on special teams and recorded one tackle.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON (2001)
Did not see any game action for the Tigers … Redshirted as a true freshman in 2000.
HIGH SCHOOL
Standout on both sides of the ball at Columbia High School in Lake City, Fla. … Caught seven passes for 135 yards and one touchdown in helping lead his team to a 12-2 overall mark and an appearance in the 5A state semifinal contest in 1999.
