Played in 50 games with 22 starts during his career at LSU … Drafted in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers … Two-year starter at safety for the Tigers … Finished collegiate career with 112 tackles, two sacks and five interceptions … His younger brothers – Jhyryn and Brandon – are also members of the LSU football team … All three of the Taylor brothers were on the 2008 LSU football team … Graduated in December of 2008 with a degree in general studies.
SENIOR SEASON (2008)
Played in 13 games with nine starts … Recorded 43 tackles and one sack for an 11-yard loss … Added two interceptions and one fumble recovery … Had best game of season in road win over South Carolina with seven tackles, one sack for an 11-yard loss and an interception … Had six tackles and recovered a fumble vs. Ole Miss … Had six tackles in SEC win over Mississippi State … Intercepted a pass and broke up another pass to go with two tackles in non-conference win over North Texas.
JUNIOR SEASON (2007)
Replaced four-year starter and NFL first-round draft pick LaRon Landry as the Tigers’ starting free safety … Finished the year with 54 tackles, including one for a loss and a sack … Played in all 14 games with 13 career starts … Broke up six passes, picked off three others, recovered a fumble and registered a quarterback hurry … Delivered a game-clinching interception late in the fourth quarter of the 2008 BCS National Championship Game versus Ohio State that set up a score … Added five tackles against the Buckeyes … Registered a career-high eight tackles and a PBU in the Tigers’ win over Florida … Matched that tackle total, picked off a pass, broke up another and had a quarterback hurry against Ole Miss … Recovered the fumble that set up the game-winning score against Alabama … Intercepted the first pass of his career against Mississippi State … Had three tackles, including his first sack and TFL, against Virginia Tech.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2006)
Played in 12 of the Tigers’ 13 games, all in a reserve roll … Was credited with 12 tackles and a pass breakup … Was responsible for a career-high four tackles in LSU’s victory over Arizona.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON (2005)
Played in 11 games, all in a reserve roll … Saw most of his action on special teams … Had three tackles and one pass breakup to his credit … Recorded two tackles vs. Tennessee and broke up a pass against Ole Miss.

HIGH SCHOOL
