SENIOR SEASON
The veteran among LSU’s linebackers in 2005 … Played and started all 13 games for the Tigers as a senior in 2005 … Moved to the middle linebacker spot prior to the season after playing the Will linebacker position the previous 2 seasons … Responded in fine fashion as the leader of the defense, registering a team-high 83 tackles, 46 of which were solo … Added 6.5 tackles for losses and 1 sack for an 11-yard loss … Had 7 tackles, 2 tackles for 14-yards in losses and 1 sack for a 10-yard loss in 40-7 win over Ole Miss … Had season-high 12 tackles and 2 pass breakups in overtime win over Alabama … Other double-figure tackle game came against Tennessee with 10 tackles and a tackle for a loss.
JUNIOR SEASON (2004)
Starter in all 12 games for the Tigers in 2004 … Fourth on team with 63 tackles … Had 28 solo tackles and 2 tackles for losses … Had 5 tackles and 1 sack in win over Vanderbilt … Capped regular season with 7 tackles in win over Arkansas … Had season-high of 8 tackles in wins over Arkansas State and Troy … Broke up 3 passes … Returned a fumble 8 yards for a third quarter touchdown in 26-10 win over Alabama … Picked up the fumble forced by Marcus Spears and rambled for the score that put the Tigers up 13-10 late in the third quarter … Closed season with 5 tackles against Iowa in the Capital One Bowl.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2003)
Served as LSU’s starter at will linebacker in the Tigers’ base defense … Played in 14 games with six starts … Had an outstanding sophomore season after making an immediate impact in 2002 as a true freshman … Had 55 tackles and two sacks in 2003 … Added three tackles for losses, six quarterback pressures and broke up three passes … Had season-high of eight tackles vs. Florida … Sacks came against Georgia and Mississippi State … Recovered a fumble in 55-24 win over Arkansas.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2002)
Played in all 13 games with one start … The only true freshman on the LSU squad to play in every game in 2002 … Finished season with 38 tackles, including three for losses … Added a pair of sacks … Started in place of an injured Lionel Turner against Arkansas and responded with a career-high 15 tackles … Recorded first sack of career in very first collegiate game against Virginia Tech … Added 3 tackles against the Hokies … Collected at least 1 tackle in all but two games during the regular season … Had 2 sacks against Louisiana-Lafayette to go along with 8 total tackles … Was one of only two true freshman to play on the defensive side of the ball joining defensive lineman Kyle Williams.
