Earned AVCA Second Team All-American honors following a strong campaign on Court 1 … Finished with a 20-18 overall record, competing primarily with partner Ellie Shank … Achieved five Top-20 victories with wins against California, Georgia State, South Carolina, and GCU … With another year of eligibility remaining, Bailey looks to build on her success and continue her standout career in the sand.
PRIOR TO LSU
A standout beach volleyball player before joining LSU, Gabi Bailey excelled at both the collegiate and club levels. As a senior in 2023, she compiled a 20-8 overall record, including an 8-2 mark in conference play, competing exclusively on the top flight … Earned First Team All-Sun Belt honors with partner Kyra Thompson and was named Sun Belt Pair of the Week on March 15 … Set her program’s record for pair wins on April 7 with a two-set sweep on the top flight and recorded two wins over nationally ranked opponents, Georgia State and Coastal Carolina.
During her junior season in 2022, Bailey appeared in all 35 duals and amassed a 25-10 overall record, including an 18-7 mark on the fourth flight … Formed a dominant partnership with Kyra Thompson, going 23-4 together and tying for third in the 4-7 bracket at the UNCW Pairs Tournament … Achieved seven wins against A-SUN opponents and a season sweep of Mercer, while also going 4-1 in the A-SUN Tournament, delivering the only point against top-seeded Stetson.
Bailey did not compete during her sophomore season in 2021 but played indoor volleyball as a freshman at Penn State in 2019-20, appearing in three matches and recording four kills and one dig. Her well-rounded experience in both indoor and beach volleyball set the foundation for her success at LSU.

Graduated from Lawrence Academy in Groton, Massachusetts, where she established herself as a top volleyball talent … Ranked No. 93 in the 2018 PrepVolleyball.com Senior Ace rankings … Named Independent School League (ISL) MVP and earned All-ISL honors … Selected to the All-NEPSAC First Team and recognized as a Midland Wachusett Interscholastic League All-Star … Played a pivotal role in leading her team to the NEPSAC Class B title during her senior year.
PERSONAL
Daughter of Nate and Linda Bailey … Comes from an athletic family, as her father, Nate, played basketball and her mother, Linda, played volleyball at Pittsburgh … Has two brothers, Evan and Reed, and one sister, Brooke … Brother Evan played basketball at the College of Charleston from 2014-18, contributing to the Cougars’ 2018 CAA Tournament Championship … Sister Brooke played volleyball at Clemson and Ohio State, continuing the family’s legacy of athletic excellence.
