Jamie Tutko Season 2023
Jamie Tutko, who has assisted in leading LSU to National Championships in 2023 and 2025, joined the Tigers’ staff in the summer of 2016 as the program’s first full-time video coordinator. He was promoted to director of video and scouting prior to the 2020 season, and he was elevated to director of player development/video and scouting prior to the 2022 season.
Tutko was named LSU’s Director of Player Development – Pitching in July 2024, and he worked closely with pitching coach Nate Yeskie in developing the Tigers’ 2025 National Championship staff.
The 2025 staff, featuring All-America right-handers Kade Anderson and Anthony Eyanson, finished No. 1 in the nation in total strikeouts, No. 4 in strikeouts per nine innings (11.7), No. 6 in hits allowed per nine innings (7.27), No. 7 in team ERA (3.73) and No. 12 in strikeout to walk ratio (2.83).
Anderson led the nation with 180 total strikeouts, and Eyanson finished No. 3 in the nation with 152 total Ks. Right-hander Casan Evans also received All-America recognition, posting five wins, seven saves and a 2.05 ERA in 52.2 innings.
Anderson (first round – No. 3 pick overall), right-hander Chase Shores (second round) and Eyanson (third round) were all selected within the first three rounds of the 2025 MLB Draft. LSU has had 14 pitchers selected in the draft over the past two seasons, which is tied for the most in the nation in that span.
Tutko also oversees several player development aspects of the baseball team, including managing the video program and developing scouting reports that assist the Tigers coaches in game preparation, and he is the director of all LSU Baseball camps and clinics.
Tutko, a Tampa, Fla., native, worked as video coordinator for the Miami Marlins’ AAA affiliate in New Orleans, La. from 2014-16. Prior to his appointment with the Marlins, he was the video coordinator for the Cincinnati Reds’ affiliate in Billings, Mont., from 2012-13.
Tutko also worked in 2011 as an account executive for the Daytona Cubs in Daytona Beach, Fla., assisting in ticket and concessions operations and creating promotional ideas.
He served as an intern at the Major League Baseball Winter Meetings in 2009 and 2010, assisting in the operation of the event.
Tutko earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sport business in 2011 from Saint Leo University, where he was captain of the baseball team and was named to the Dean’s List. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Saint Leo in 2015.
Tutko and his wife, the former Gabrielle Sanchez of Maurepas, La., were married in December 2018. Their first child, Kara, was born in April 2020, and their second child, Kynlee, was born in July 2021.
