2016 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll

A reserve catcher on the 2016 LSU team; became a member of the Tigers’ equipment manager staff beginning with the 2017 season … earned SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll recognition as a civil engineering major … extremely hard-working player who brings brought depth to the catcher position … committed to the LSU program and doing whatever he can to make LSU the best team and program that it can be … enjoyed a very successful career at Jesuit High School in New Orleans, where he played on championship teams and was a leader of the Blue Jays’ program.

2016 Season
Played in 10 games in a reserve role, batting .143 (1-for-7) with two RBI … produced a single and an RBI versus Grambling on April 13 … also drove in a run at Missouri (April 17) with a sacrifice fly.

Prior to LSU
A three-year starter, he helped lead Jesuit High School to the 2015 Catholic League championship and an appearance in the regional round of the state playoffs … also helped lead the Blue Jays to a regional round appearance in 2013 and the state semifinals in 2014 … recorded a .350 career batting average at Jesuit HS and was the All-District 9-5A Catcher of the Year as a sophomore in 2013.
