2024 Season
• Enjoyed a tremendous freshman season at LSU, batting .326 (72-for-221) with 12 doubles, three triples, eight homers, 40 RBI, 51 runs and seven stolen bases … played in 63 games with 60 starts (59 starts at second base, one start at shortstop)
• LSU’s leading hitting in its 10 postseason games, batting .386 (17-for-44) with three doubles, four homers, 11 RBI and 11 runs
• Milam hit two walk-off home runs within one week, as his decisive dingers lifted the Tigers to wins over South Carolina in the SEC Tournament semifinal (May 25) and over Wofford in the NCAA Regional opening game (May 31)
• Named to the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional All-Tournament team, hitting .304 (7-for-23) with one double, two homers, four RBI and five runs … launched two solo homers in regional opening-game win over Wofford (May 31), including a walk-off blast to lift LSU to a 4-3 win
• Voted to the SEC All-Tournament team after batting .476 (10-for-21) in five games with two doubles, two homers, seven RBI and six runs … blasted a two-run walk-off homer in the bottom of 10th inning vs. South Carolina in SEC Tournament semifinal (May 25)
• Finished No. 3 in the SEC in triples with three
• 4-for-10 in Ole Miss series (May 16-18) with one RBI, two runs, three walks and two stolen bases
• Voted SEC Freshman of the Week on May 6 after his performances in LSU’s SEC series victory over top-ranked Texas A&M … batted .444 (4-for-9) in the series with two doubles, one RBI, two runs, two walks and a .545 on-base percentage
• 2-for-2 in Game 1 win (May 3) over Texas A&M and provided a crucial RBI single in a four-run sixth inning that erased a 3-2 Aggies lead … doubled and later scored as part of a two-run rally in the eighth inning of Game 2 vs. Texas A&M (May 4), as LSU stretched a 4-3 lead to 6-3 in the eventual 6-4 victory
• Launched first career collegiate homer, a solo shot, on April 19 at Missouri … unloaded a three-run homer vs. Auburn on April 28
• 3-for-4 vs. Southeastern Louisiana (March 26) with one double, one RBI and one run scored
• 3-for-4 vs. Stony Brook (Feb. 25) with two RBI and two runs scored
• 4-for-6 vs. VMI (Feb. 18) with one double, three RBI and four runs
Prior to LSU
• Ranked nationally in 2023 as the No. 32 shortstop and the No. 119 overall player by Perfect Game as a product of Centennial High School in Las Cruces, N.M.
• The 2023 No. 1 overall player in the state of New Mexico, according to Perfect Game
• Voted the 2023 New Mexico Player of the Year by Gatorade and by MaxPreps after batting .627 with 52 hits, 50 RBI and 65 runs … also drew 42 walks and only struck out eight times over 30 games
• Milam led the state in 2023 in slugging percentage (1.313), hits (52), runs (65), doubles (18) and triples (nine) while helping the Centennial High School compile a 26-5 record and the State Championship title … also tied for the state lead with 50 RBI and finished seventh with seven home runs … on the mound, he pitche d 13.2 innings and struck out 23 batters
• Posted a four-year career high school batting average of .513 with 12 homers, 118 RBI, 140 runs, 83 stolen bases and a .653 on-base percentage … earned numerous all-American, all-state and all-district honors throughout his career
• A member of the National Honor Society with a 3.95 high school GPA … in 2019, he became the first player to represent New Mexico in the Perfect Game Select Baseball Festival

Full name is Steven Aiden Milam … nickname is “Monster” … Dad, Steven Milam, is a U.S. Border Patrol Agent with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Mom, Marci Salinas-Milam, is the Academic Program Director (Campus Tutoring Services)at New Mexico State University … has a younger sister, Brooklyn; his brother, Champ, has passed away … on attending LSU: “I watched Alex Bregman (New Mexico native) growing up, and he has been a huge influence and role model. There is no other place to develop and grow as a future MLB player and person with the best coaches in college baseball. Alex Box Stadium is the pinnacle of college baseball, from the fans, to wearing the purple and gold, this is where I was meant to be” … born August 10, 2004, in Las Cruces, N.M.
