JUNIOR SEASON (2012)
Made 35 relief appearances, recording a 1-2 mark and a 2.67 ERA in 33.2 innings with four walks, 45 strikeouts and 11 saves … finished the season No. 3 in the SEC in saves … dominating effort to earn save in NCAA Regional final vs. Oregon State (June 3) – struck out the side in the bottom of the 10th by throwing just 14 pitches; made a total of two appearances in the regional, striking out five in two innings of work … earned 10th save of season at South Carolina (May 19), retiring final two batters with tying run at first base in 3-2, 10-inning LSU win … fired a scoreless 13th inning at Ole Miss (May 4) with one strikeout to earn ninth save of the season … made two appearances in Georgia series (April 27-28), working two innings and allowing no runs on one hit with three Ks; earned the save by pitching a scoreless ninth in 6-5 Game 1 victory over the Bulldogs … dominant save at Kentucky on April 20 – struck out all three batters he faced in the bottom of the 9th inning to preserve a 5-4 LSU victory … posted two saves in the Florida series (April 5-7), preserving one-run victories in Games 1 and 3 … worked a total of two innings against the Gators, allowing no runs on one hit with no walks and two strikeouts … retired the final Florida batter in Game 1 with the tying run at third base, and he retired the Gators in order in the ninth in Game 3 to help the Tigers clinch the series … recorded an LSU career-high 2.1 scoreless innings with career-best four strikeouts vs. Arkansas on April 1 … credited with a win and a save in first two games of Mississippi State series (March 16-17); got the save in Game 2 by striking out the final MSU batter with runners on first and second and LSU holding a 4-3 lead
