Outstanding left-handed pitcher that loves to compete and has a strong presence on the mound … works in the upper 80s to low 90s … pitched two seasons at LSU (2017, 2018), making 47 appearances on the mound (five starts) while posting a 2-2 record and a 3.52 ERA in 71.2 innings with two saves, 36 walks and 64 strikeouts … best pitch is a tight-spinning, late-breaking curveball that has big swing-and-miss capabilities … received a medical redshirt in 2016 after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his pitching elbow … returned to the mound in 2017 and made 23 relief appearances as a vital contributor out of the bullpen … selected in the eighth round of the 2018 MLB Draft and signed with the Colorado Rockies in the summer of 2018.
2018 Season
Made 24 appearances (five starts) posting a 1-1 record and a 3.40 ERA in 47.2 innings with 17 walks and 42 strikeouts … starting pitcher in LSU’s NCAA Regional-opening win over San Diego State (June 1), working five innings and limiting the Aztecs to three runs on four hits with two walks and two strikeouts … earned a save in the SEC Tournament semifinal vs. Arkansas (May 26), working two scoreless innings with two hits, no walks and one strikeout … defeated Alabama on May 13, pitching a career-high six innings to earn his first victory of the season in his third start of 2018 … Bush, who had worked primarily as reliever during the season, was thrust into the starting role when scheduled starter AJ Labas was unable to pitch due to arm soreness … Bush limited Alabama to one earned run on six hits in six innings with one walk and two strikeouts, firing 87 pitches in the outing … fired two innings at Ole Miss (April 27) to preserve a 5-2 victory, allowing one run on one hit with one walk and three Ks … made the first SEC start of his career April 22 at South Carolina, and he delivered an excellent performance, firing five shutout innings and limiting the Gamecocks to three hits with no walks and seven strikeouts … Bush’s strikeouts at South Carolina represented a career high … worked three shutout innings over two appearances in the Mississippi State series (March 29-31), and he picked up his first career save on March 31 by blanking the Bulldogs over the final two innings with one strikeout … collected three strikeouts on four occasions this season – vs. Texas on Feb. 24 (1.0 IP), vs. Southeastern Louisiana on March 4 (1.2 IP); at Louisiana-Lafayette on March 7 (2.0 IP); and at Ole Miss on April 27 (2.0 IP).
2017 Season
Recorded 23 relief appearances, posting a 1-1 mark and a 3.75 ERA in 24.0 innings with 19 walks and 22 strikeouts … pitched 3.1 innings against Florida in Game 1 of the College World Series Finals (June 26), limiting the Gators to one run on three hits with no walks and two strikeouts … pitched two scoreless innings in SEC Tournament versus Missouri (May 24), allowing three hits with one strikeout … fired two scoreless innings against South Carolina (May 7), allowing no hits with no walks and one strikeout … made three appearances during the week of April 25-29 vs. Tulane and Alabama (two games), working a combined 3.1 innings and allowing no runs on one hit with one walk and three strikeouts … credited with a relief win at Florida (March 26), as he worked one scoreless inning with one strikeout.
2016 Season
Did not pitch in 2016 and received a medical redshirt after Tommy John surgery was performed on his left elbow.

A 2015 Perfect Game and Under Armour All-American … rated No. 224 among Perfect Game Top High School Prospects … worked 25 innings as a senior in 2015, allowing just 12 hits and recording a 1.12 ERA with 39 strikeouts … recorded a 0.33 ERA as a junior in 2014 … earned 2014 first-team all-Region honors … represented Team Georgia during his junior year at the Sunbelt Classic in Oklahoma … participated in the East Coast Pro Showcase.
