Enjoyed an outstanding career at Parkview Baptist in Baton Rouge, earning three letters in baseball at three different positions and leading the Eagles to state titles in 2002 and 2003 … posted a 29-4 career record with 340 Ks in 208 innings … 12-2 record with a 0.91 ERA in 70.1 innings his senior year, leading Parkview to the 2003 Class 3A state title … recorded 135 strikeouts and 17 walks during his senior season, as he was named the Class 3A Most Outstanding Player … posted a perfect 12-0 record with a 1.50 ERA and 130 strikeouts in 88.2 innings as a junior in 2002 … named 2002 3A state MVP and most outstanding pitcher after leading the Eagles to the 2002 state championship … also earned all-state honors at first base in 2001 … member of the Beta Club and Principal’s Merit List.
